I did 1 race today (not that hardcore plus i use the dualsense not the wheel, rated C and S)
I came in at the end of lap5, it just started raining, went for inters and kept 2nd place for a while. When the rain stopped the leader who had a 20sec lead went from full wets to slicks.... i won pure on strategy. I don't win alot. Love the race
A win is a win in my book.
Rory? Thanks for the alternate camera angles as it really helps us with the storyline and current action going on in terms of continuity. I know it's a PITA in editing, but please keep going to this extra effort for our cheering pleasure. Great overtakes btw.

Watched the Monday stream later on at work. You did a good job on the Wet Wets, a minute behind Romero but keeping exact pace. This combination is a banger!
Fun race! This was the first one most of us had done in the rain since they update changed the track drying so we were all learning on the go, there is a wet line which is faster in those conditions now but it takes some figuring out!

@@cesarmuller8962 January, there was a note that "The stability of rival cars in wet conditions has been adjusted", from the wording most of us assumed it was a AI change but it's actually more fundamental to how the track drying works. Now it actually takes skill to win in the rain instead of each car behind the leader being given a huge advantage (it used to be up to 30% less surface water).
Womble uploaded a video a couple of weeks ago on the wet racing line, it seems if you want to be quick in the rain now you have to get used to that and driving where the grip is.
Tbh I don't think the wet physics themselves have changed just the drying problem meant it was disguising how detailed PD had gone with the simulation.

I don't know if the different camera angle inserts are very new but it's a fantastic addition and makes watching these races even more engaging to watch.

Ah GT7. The graphics, physics FFB and gameplay of a masterpiece simulation, with the engine sounds nearly identical to Enduro on the Atari 2600 from the 1980s.
That kinder livery is just beautiful, I feel like a kid again when I see it I don't know why but yea.
Heavy damage and higher tire wear would make for some interesting strategies in longer races
Love it! I’ve won one time & gotten podium twice.
In my race, I came out by the end of the 6th lap, in slight wet conditions (slick were just enough) and gone for W tires right away. As the rain progressed it became the wise choice, as inters weren't enough... Than made an idiotic mistake and slid out from 2nd place to 6th.
MAXPOWERs suicidal driving was a sight to behold!

The weather effects in the GT7 are great but the physics are woeful. As with most sims, nobody has got driving in the rain right yet.

I couldn't understand why you went narrow into Les Combs on the final lap. It let the other guy carry more speed round the outside and go by. I'm sure that had you followed the usual wider line into the corner you'd have had the extra speed and stayed ahead. At very least the inside of the second part of the chicane and you could have run him out on the exit. Should have been your podium, you deserved it.

Immmm a boring gran turismo fan. Lol makes me want yours and super gts wish lists. Lol don't know what it is that super too good to be true pavement is super hypnotizing. Wonder if they'll just chill on gt7 for awhile. And make it the ultimate gt? But totally needs more tracks. There's a few other deep forest esc tracks on 3 and 4 I'd redrum back. Lol makes me wonder if they could spice up the backgrounds even more. I like the idea of temperature affecting races instead of just wet and dry, it'd be nice to have small differences of all that cloud weather. Need that humidity effects on laguna for summer time. wonder if they'll add just visual spice to each track? Do you want hot weather balloon shows to space out to or jets being dorks. Fireworks. Just add mist for the appropriate stages. . . Ya know instead of 3 cars. Still waiting for that Supreme update. The visuals are getting slightly better after each installment. But still needs that one update that makes it look like a ps6 game. Plus 50 more cars and tracks. With 50 different variables. Chop chop. Gt 7 would be perfect for just a tad more content. Secretly wishing for more car booty for Xmas, birthdays and anniversaries.
It's great that they added rain to games like this... but the problem is the physics. Rain is not ice, and judging by the looks of this race, it looks like that they racing on ice (too slippery). Yes, I know that in a race the speed is a high factor, but it just doesn't look like real. It becomes almost impossible to race.
Is called hydroplaning... It's worse than ice. It's real. And without the right tires with these vehicles they can hydroplane easily
They also need to add more damage to the cars

I played it last night and it was the most horrible race I have ever had, 😂. It was so painful people quit after a few laps in the rain. I was dead last but push through to finish in one position higher than I start, haha.
I had to abandon because I didn’t have intermediates!
GT7 still offer the best online Racing on consoles, no Forza Motorsport and no ACC or AC, GT7 is the best 🏁🎮🌍😎👍
Finally after 2 years a decent length race with unscripted weather, too late for me though now if PD started adding rain and illuminating most tracks you would be getting the game we were promised, step in the right direction though, games like ACC and iracing are so much better though with so many more cars on track.

The only problem is how shit and toxic the average to half decent GT driver is. By far the worst lobbies I've ever been in. And I'm World class on other (better) Sims. I've binned GT7 off because the online is so VERY VERY 💩
