I think there are two main difference between the UFC and fighting in Saudi Arabia
1) there are 10 or more other fights on your card in the UFC and everyone needs to get paid .
2) The Saudi Prince doesn’t care about 40 million dollars and whether he makes money . To him the $40 million is like us at home paying $70 to watch a UFC event. If he wants to see the fight he pays.

I'm not defending the ufc pay but what I truly believe is if you don't like the pay then don't sign the contract. You accepted to go to the organization and signed the contract. Afterwards you compare your contract to others and get upset bc your contract was less.
Nah that's not the way the UFC have ot structured. Frank Mir was already locked into his contract. Then all of a suddened one of the most famous, biggest scariest dudes on earth wants to come fight. The UFC say righto Frank you're up!!! That size fight of that magnitude wasn't even plausible when the contract was signed. So then the UFC get to put on a HUGE ppv show off the back of a fighter they had locked into a trash contract. Make insane money, pay the famous dude and the fighter that's been there representing the company the whole time and ex world champ gets shafted and goes home in his contracted wage. If you think that scenario is OK then we disagree for sure.
The problem is the UFC actively shuts down any other competition so nobody can build up to a point where they can compete and pay fighters more. They settled on that lawsuit that could have proved it and changed the rules around it. You’re right that they shouldn’t sign the contract but there’s no better options and the UFC makes sure of that. They also make guys sign long contracts and if they don’t re sign they give them tough fights toward the end of them to intentionally try to lower their stock. There was leaked emails from Hunter and Dana showing they did exactly that. It’s not a clean game they’re playing and not a simple as don’t sign the contract
They sign away their right because they’re dumb and shoot themselves in the foot and bc they think they can be champ and earn more in the future. They sign their rights away or they work minimum wage or construction.
They are too greedy to work together with other fighters for universal healthcare, public pay and revenue share percent etc unfortunately
