A first-generation college student brought up by a single Mom, she majored in cognitive neuroscience and history at UC-San Diego before becoming a lobbyist for the second-largest pension fund in the U.S. She has spent two years advising the California State Treasurer on policy and legislation as an analyst.
With a 680 GMAT and a 3.1 GPA, Vanessa wants to get an MBA to build her business skills and options for the future. Her target schools: Kellogg, Michigan Ross, Duke Fuqua, Yale SOM, and UT-Austin.
