The speed of the bullet decreases after going thought the car, thus increases it's momentum and force is reduced.
@@luzukokalipa9134 I think the absurdity is more that the amount of kinetic energy it takes to punch thru a car door could also be non-lethal, when directly impacting the target's body. However, if you think about it people survive falls with way more impact force than that, so at worst you may have some hemorrhaging or broken bones but you can still make it.
If you look carefully at the people Chisato is capping, you'll notice pretty significant dents in their clothing and blunt force trauma around their heads, so it's still somewhat in the realm of reality.
@@cc.jsullivan The differences is.... you have a rubber thing + metal = hole, rubber thing + flesh = severe bruise maybe some broken skin similar to a strong punch rather than piercing like metal would. Also rubber bullets CAN kill... they just can there is no garantee that it won't its just less lethal.

I love that Chisato keeps her gun close to her body when fighting a close range so that no one can grab her arm and that she even goes on to try and teach one of the bad guys they fight this later on.

Only the sixth one actually hit him. The others juat stunned him. The anime also call them rubber bullets, but they're actually frangibles (they break on contact with the target instead of piercing it).

@@A._Meroy Yeah, that's why law enforcement agencies have trust issues with rubber rounds. They are really unreliable and dangerous because their structure means they tumble through the air rather than fly straight like a regular bullet does. It's sorta similar to the .45 ACP round; due to its squat shape, it rapidly loses aerodynamic stability, which makes the round inaccurate at range.
And even if the rubber bullets aren't designed to penetrate, they could always hit a really vulnerable spot on someone and cause a fatal injury. Worst of all, they could hit someone the officer isn't aiming at!
Chisato must be The Flash or something. There's no way anyone could avoid bullets that easily.
She can't move faster than the bullet, but she can move faster than her opponent pulls the trigger. She has the ability to sense when they are about to fire and to estimate the path of the bullet, so she moves out of the way before the bullet even leaves the weapon. But I agree, she definitely needs lightning reflexes for that

Much like how clothes in anime can disintegrate but not human flesh
Some materials can stay intact when hitting hard stuff while quickly losing integrity when the impact is on softer things like human skin. However a head shot would probably still be lethal due to the skull being pretty hard as well.
Anyway, don't think about it too much, it's an anime after all 😉

Is Chisato a superhuman? Cause there's no way any normal human could possibly dodge bullets. Run in a crooked pattern to mess with the shooter's aim, sure. But dodging bullets? Not even Neo could do that and he used bullet time.
shes not dodging bullets. shes using an acute and natural sense of spatial awareness to instinctively move out of the shooters line of fire based on miniscule movements of the shooters arm and hand. shes not dodging bullets.....but thats pretty close to superhuman.
She is clearly superhuman, even if she doesn't dodge bullets technically. Ordinary humans can't do what she does at all.

When Chisato says you have to value people's lives, it makes me want to slap her.
I understand Chisato's Pacifism and admire her dedication to it. Mercy is a rare and valuable thing in this line of work. However, it can be a double-edge sword, sometimes. As your enemies will take advantage of your mercy and kill you. In that situation, you might have to kill in order to survive. Thus, there's nothing with her being a Pacifist but I will say that she needs to be careful and vigilant while doing it.
But in her defense, Takina gambled a witness's life in order to draw out these crooks. Which is both unethical and very risky. This was something that got her transferred in the first place. Never gamble lives of innocents or allies even for the sake of mission. We can't can't treat them as expendable pawns. Besides these crooks are just small-time lowlives. Killing them would be a waste of time and bullets. Kill only when necessary. Now if they were traffickers, then she can go at it. I will say it was smart of Takina to shoot their tires.
Although, I would've scarred them at least. And finally, I understand your frustration about Chisato's mentality. It does kinda go against what an assassin stands for.
