Chupacabra Offroad ....1.thank you for covering this. Its very interesting 2. I personally am not being sold. Ive always been the guy who waits and watches. Bought my 16 rzr in july of 17.. 19 x3 in 2020. Id rather buy proven and let others go through the headaches. 3. You bring up the BIGGEST point....RG fan or not , we all want him to succeed. The industry will advance because of him pushing boundaries. To be honest....even him just saying they are going to do something , is makin polaris and can am talk about it. Win win
As a current XX I'm excited all over again........he is putting in some crazy components and massive amounts of r&d we all know Robby want to win in what ever he is doing so I hope this new speed utv is what he says it is and not a fluke hes got a ton of people ready to either applaud him or the same people ready to talk shit but I'm sure all the other big company's are watching this VERY close i cant wait to see the first ones released later this year !!!!!
The XX front diff locks on the fly. No doubt the Speed units are built off of this design, by the looks of the pic...minus the slipper. I bought Robbys double plunge axles for my xx. They are solid, well built units. CV temp stays low.
I really hope they offer this has super low, low and high. Not just low, high and overdrive. Most of us don't need or want to go 75+ mph but most of us DO need crawler gearing especially with 35s.
These cars aren't being built or marketed for crawlers, these are desert cars and we absolutely want top speed. Fingers crossed 3rd gear with the Hell key will dance around 110mph. I'm sure more models geared towards trails and crawling will be introduced as they gain traction.
Great info. Its definatly making me take some interest. For sure the industry will take note if it works. I'm sold on the Honda talon transmission and think that's the best way forward for high performance machines.
Yes they are doing the entire motor. Parts sourced globally and assembled in the US. My guess (based off working for Polaris) is that the clutches will be from Team in the midwest, and most motor parts will be made in China, not factual, just a "somewhat" educated opinion. Lots of CVT manufacturers in the midwest that supply Polaris, Arctic Cat, etc.
I thought I was the only one that wished my Sportsman XP 1000 had 3 speed transmission so low could be lower than have a mid gear for most trail riding then high the same because 82 MPH is fast enough.
It's still the same thing as a wildcat just with a different motor. You could just buy a wildcat and throw a turbo on it except the four-seat model obviously. I believe I will believe these production numbers when I see them. I hope it comes out and it is a success
I want to put a deposit down on a 4 seater. I think it would be perfect for taking the family out and ripping on my own. Unfortunately I can afford the deposit but not the divorce lawyer when my wife finds out.
Is Speed selling you more and more on this SxS with each video?

@@matthewlundrideordie8151 Well said, and if I end up getting one and it breaks on a trip, is my biggest fear. My trusty Turbo S runs like a top.
Yes but I'm definitely waiting one more year after all the bugs get worked out if any
It really looks like Robby Gordon is putting the work in to make this a really good product. I wish him the best.

818k5krawler well said!! Definitely exciting 🤘🏼
Great video Nick! I’m getting excited and can’t wait to see this out and tearing up the desert.

Ordered El Jefe RG. Can't wait.
I’m looking hard at the UTT but probably going to wait for the hvac model to drop.
I will be interesting to see how the rest of the industry responds.

I agree, I hope they hedge it toward low speed, 80 mph is fast enough for 99% of situations I've encountered, and I bet this will do more than that.

DSG have many pitfalls, basically obsolete now
Interested in the 72 inch two seater.
a 3rd gear would be awesome...does he really produce ALL (motor etc) by himself !?? in the us??

I've been wanting a 3rd gear since I got my RZR XP1K, but not a cruising gear, a crawler gear. Hopefully this ends up becoming industry standard.
Speed UTV = The Cybertruck of UTV’s
So many things needed for this car to be put together in so little time im kinda getting scared lol 😆 sucks you can't get warranty with the speed key
Haha they better be burning the midnight oil!
You gonna try to break the speed utv during the test trials?

Good video and some grand sounding claims. Man I cringe everytime you mention that XX...
