I was able to edit the registry in normal mode, update the 'Allow Update" value to 1, then save/exit regedit; then run the uninstall without a reboot.

This only works if you HAVE NOT already uninstalled "Trend Micro Diagnostic Tool Kit." If the registry parh is missing, this is what worked for me: I booted up with Hiren's BootCD PE v1.0.8 and manually deleted the trend micro installed folder in Program Files. I used CCleaner to delete stagnant registry keys and was unable to find anything Trend Micro within the Registry upon performing a manual search. I then deleted each users "AppData\Local\Trend Micro" and "AppData\Roaming\Trend Micro" folder. No safe mode needed if killing the safe file from Hyren's.

Thanks Man, I needed to Remove trend micro cause it sees a harmless app as ransomware. Many veterans (+ the creator.)
have said to me that the app is safe, The ransomware is just the Payed ads it Sponsers, This app is Pivot v5.
