- Hello my beautiful fam welcome back to my kitchen, today I’m so excited to share with you how to make easy and delicious flautas, basically rolled tacos, stuffed with a delicious ground beef and potato filling, I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my family do ☺️ Like every recipe and every household there are tons of variations that make this delicious recipe, this is the way I was taught. Ingredients: about 20 tacos
corn tortillas
1 lb ground beef
3 small potatoes
5 tomatoes
1 white onion
4 jalapeños
2 chile serranos
2 garlic cloves
1 handful of cilantro
Canola oil
Garlic salt
Pepper
Cumin
Salt

Hello my beautiful fam.. Ohh how I remember my mom making this delicious tacos on the days that she didn’t know what to make us for dinner 😅 good old memories!! Thank you Mom 🥰 I known this tacos as flautas because that’s what my mom would call them every time she would make them 😆 flautas are actually the flour rolled tacos... but whatever you want to call them they are delicious!!

I love how you teach us all so well! The way you move your hands as you begin is perfect for you and your fans to feel included in the process. You add potatoes to the recipe. Is that to stretch the filling (the way Cajun cooking does) or is it just a better way for the beef to be healthier tasting. I’m just curious to learn and understand how everything starts out and ends up as a recipe

I'm from El Paso, Tx and my grandma used to make these types of flautas. Our family was pretty poor in the early days so we had to use potatoes and beef to make a meal for the whole family and to this day this is what I use and make and I still love it. My grandma also made us potato enchiladas because we couldn't afford to have cheese enchiladas so mashed potatoes was the insides and it worked for me as well. I was raised on this. Fast forward to my mid 20's I have never heard of cheese or beef or chicken enchiladas. lol That seemed liked rich people enchiladas. Only because we were so poor so to speak so once again I was raised on the what you can get etc. To this very day I still prefer the poor version of my grandmas enchiladas and flautas.

Thank you for the recipe. I made them today and they were delicious!!! I don’t have toothpicks so I use small pieces of spaghetti and worked perfectly and you don’t have to remove them before eating.

I make these but with chicken papa and cheese but to make it easier to fry instead of rolling them i just put filling on half and fold the tortilla over. Like tacos dorados

I went to a holiday party with my girlfriend. A bit Hispanic affaire. They made green gravy. Put on everything. I brought her to the the wine 🍷 show. It was a birthday party. 6 ladies and me. Nothing dirty. We had a great time. Sure I paid. Most was gratis free. I’m blessed.
