I can buy the wedge theory, considering how fast they are moving relative to each other and the force exerted on the Hetzer certainly isn't from 188 tons since it's at an angle. No one really knows how sturdy a Hetzer can be in those situations with all the angled forces. The Panzer III side climbing 45 degrees rough terrain at 50km/h killed me more than anything. The Maus commander also decided that being encircled by early WWII tanks was better than blasting them from a safe distance while backing up, albeit at a snail's pace.

You drive a wedge(read as Hetzer) to lift the front part. Bait the turret to expose the top side of the back part, lock the turret in place and hit the exposed top side from an elevation.

i know this is fictional, but that's not how the tank sight work, you dont just aim the sight in the place you want to shoot at such close range, the tank sight of the panzer was on the left, so they would have to aim slightly to the left in order to actually hit the engine, or whatever is in there
In this anime they did show how to aim in a tank (episode 3). They showed how to adjust it and they show the real life crosshair with the triangles (while moving and stationary). The scene in which the panzer 4 is aiming in this vid is just a film shot direction to show the audience what is the target (you can see the tank adjusting downwards again in the scene)

This Anime is simply Anti-Newton Maus wight 188tons the most heavy tank in the world so far, Hetzer simply can not drive under it, if it even manage to did it with special terrain it will turn into a flat piece of metal under the Mats tank.
And then the Type 89B driving on top adding it's weight to the mix for a total of 200 metric tonnes, not counting crew. Even counting for not all the weight being directly on it bc of the ground, the Jagdpanzer 38(t) would have crumpled like it were aluminium foil.
To those asking why Hetzer wasn't crushed, in the anime it was explained that the interior of all tanks were reinforced with some material (don't remember what kind or if it was mentioned), these tanks are far much more sturdier than even nowadays tanks let alone the real WW2 tanks they were made to withstand a direct hit from 600mm shells while the crew wouldn't even get scratched, after all this is a sci fi anime in which people have constructed ships that are more than 10km in length.

I find it funny how people cant get over that its just an anime, it was created for enjoyment of viewers and not based on realism, its like warthunders arcade mode, or world of tanks and its health bars. Its only anime and it doesnt have to follow accuracy, and if you have watched the anime you would know that the tanks are carbon coated to protect the crew. I have a feeling that for the purpose of the sport, the armor is actually reinforced (but the system still simulates a lethal shell penetration by disabling the tank) and that the engines are actually tweaked to crank out much more hp, explaining how fast the tanks can go

I find it funny how people cant get over that its just an anime, it was created for enjoyment of viewers and not based on realism, its like warthunders arcade mode, or world of tanks and its health bars. Its only anime and it doesnt have to follow accuracy, and if you have watched the anime you would know that the tanks are carbon coated to protect the crew. So what, yes the hetzer would get crushed by a maus in real life but this is not real life, every one makes like everything must be historically accurate, why exactly must it have to be accurate, i found the anime to be very creative and i thank the creator for bringing out a unique anime, its not common to see a anime having to do with tanks, infact this anime actually got me back into enjoying world of tanks.
And this anime was really well done. I enjoyed every battle.
And plus aslong as you know that this cant happen in real life, there should be nothing to complain about
