- Its been a dream of mine since i was a kidd to own a tri five. Today i finally fufilled this dream. Bought a 1955 chevy belair , wow what a nice car. On my bucket list was to get a car like this and take my dad out for a drive. I have been thinking about this day for at least 10 years and today job completed. Now to attack the rest of my bucket list time to start living my dreams. 1955 chevy is just the start.

Got a tear in my eyes. ‘55 has always been a dream of mine since I was 20. My dad and I loved chatting cars. Could never agree on them. He wanted economy and practicality. Well I wanted coolness and horse power. Lost my Dad 10 years ago but will think of him when I get my hobby car. Thanks for bringing us along.
I had 1956 nomad and I built it from the ground up and that was in 1989 it was candy apple blue it was beautiful, it had a 350 motor with tunnel rams and the interior was 2 tone light brown and dark brown. I went through a divorce and had to sell my baby. Now I'm old and left Hawaii and moved to Ohio. And bought me a 2022 2ss camaro automatic 10speed. Loving my new life again

I bought a boat fall 19’ with the goal of being able to take my dad out like he did me as a kid but never got to because of cancer. That was so awesome to see you roll up on your dad

I did the same thing after I bought my 1999 black Chevrolet Corvette FRC. Pulled up in their driveway my son was filming it as I revved up loudly. I remember my mamma did a little jump lol when she came out!😀 What great memories. I miss my little mama and pap rip.

You really should have purchased a 57. Personally I love the 55 - then the gas fill on the 56 - never liked the rear of the 57. But if dad had a 57 that's the car you need to get. It's beautiful!
What a beautiful car. My buddy from high school bought one of these. I think it was 1977 or 78.
His was turquoise, and white two tone .
Unfortunately we lived in New England, and even though the car was rarely ever driven in the winter, the residual salt on the roads, and the salt air from the ocean, it took it's toll on, and under the car.
He kept that car until 2019 (+/-) , always figuring he'd restore it some day, but life has a way of getting in the way, and he sold it.
It had been off the road for decades.
When he moved to FL in the 80's or 90's he took the '55 Bel-Air with him.
Man I've got great memories of that car, I could write a book.
One funny one was it had engine vacuum powered windshield wipers.
He had put a hi-performance cam in it, with lots of valve over lap.
It was a fun, fast, car, but if it ever rained while you were out driving it, the windshield wipers would stop working everytime you stepped on the gas. Funny, but made it hard to drive it home.
If there was ever a chance of rain in the Summer, we always took my '69 Camaro.
Those cars are great fun.
I'm going to send this video to my old friend. I know he will enjoy it.

Awesome car! Going to be hard to improve on it. Only thing I would do if it was mine would be to change the interior to black. Too much red for me. Just my opinion but yeah awesome car man 👍😎

Its not a hardtop, so NO ITS NOT! IT CANNOT BE A HOT ROD. It can be hot rodded but its 7 years too new to be a hotrod. A hotcrod is a PRE 1948 car modified for performance.
