As someone 13 years deep into dnd I adore hearing about other people's characters and the weird shared hallucinations they have with their friends. I really love that everything I remember about past games is from the perspective of the character, not just sitting around a table or in front of my monitor

@Four-Winged Raven when you get right down to it dnd is just a bunch of people telling a weird story only experienced in their heads. I'd say it's cheaper than hallucinogens but when you start collecting dice and minis it really isn't

I canât even begin to describe how not just comfortable but safe this video makes me feel. My sister does this all the time but itâs always over the phone while Iâm doing other things. But to just sit and listen to you talk about your character is so nice and makes me feel just safe.

I have absolutely zero idea about D&D. Never been interested in finding out about it. But wow... this video was so good. Gibi I could hear you talk about this for hours. I would love to hear more! All of the characters sound incredible! I love your character's backstory and the hints of 'divine' influence (I guess?). I love the thiramin story. It reminds me of danmei storyline and characters! Anyway, I think it's safe to say that I'm now super interested in D&D and am sitting here thinking who my character would be. I'd love to play as an elderly peasant lady who is very wise in the ways of the world, brought up a large family and struggled financially, but then one day she somehow gets cursed and goes on a quest to break said curse and is really done with everyone's nonsense lol. Heavily inspired by Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle, of course.

@@Peron1-MC I may have misinterpreted OP's comment, but I took it as a suggestion to create a dnd character with us. Roll for stats, flip through the player handbook to choose background, race, class, etc.

I want a part 2 with one of those character creator quizzes where you answer questions from âfavorite colorâ to âworst fearâ about your character, I feel invested and I want to know more haha. This was calming to watch and helped my anxiety, I love the cozy rambling videos

Lost Mines of Phandelver is a great starter campaign for D&D beginners, it has a bit of everything that the game has to offer.
I loved the "friend just has to ramble excitedly about their new fav hobby" vibes of this video, I really hope you make this a series because I'd love to hear more of your adventures.

This is cracking me up because Iâve toyed with the idea of making an asmr channel of my own for so long, and Iâve always thought, âman I could just talk about dnd for hours⊠đâ but legitimately, someone talking enthusiastically about something theyâre passionate about, in a soft voice, full of cozy vibes, is SO relaxing and fun. Itâs my favorite way of hanging out with friends, so i love this already, just a few minutes in :3
Edit: also omg. Iâve played a wizard for the last 6 (!!) years, in a campaign thatâs wrapping up now. We went from level 1-20 and I even have TWO epic boons lol (two ninth level spell slots babey!!!!!). If you can play up to level 20, you absolutely should; itâs so so so fun, and you get so connected to all the characters on the journey. I hope you get there!!!

As someone who has played D&D for a long time I 100% understand the urge to talk about your characters, their development or your campaign. When you're in the middle of an arc or something awesome happens during a session it's like you just watched an amazing movie or read a great book. You just want to talk about it. The weirdest thing I've found is that there's only three to five other people who can really understand & share that same feeling, because they were there & experienced it with you. For everyone else it's almost like trying to explain a dream you had.

Lost Mines of Phandelver is suuuuch a great module. I ran it for my group and we ended up transitioning into an ongoing campaign once it ended. Would be super cool to see a D&D session where everyone is doing soft whisper speaking for ASMR. I know it'd be hard not to get excited and loud, though, haha.
There is actually a podcast on Spotify that is exactly that. It is called Roll for Relaxation and seems like a pretty chill story to listen to.

Iâd been hearing about D&D for years and always thought it was kinda cool but never thought Iâd be able to play since my friends didnât seem like the type and it appeared really complicated. Proud to say Iâve started a campaign with those same friends about a month ago and weâve all been absolutely obsessed with it. Currently about 40ish hours in to the Lost Mine one after several eight hour sessions. This video feels targeted.
I love calm and cozy atmospheres. Also the fact that Gibi comsiders us her friends just makes me so happy.

I LOVE to hear about peoples D&D characters. As a Forever DM, Iâve been building and working on my own homebrew world for over 10 years. Every time my friends play, I have to change something about the world because of their actions. I even developed my own homebrew species, Lupine, who are Dog People.

Ugh, I love a good lore dump, itâs so wild Iâve been playing dnd for over 20 years now and there are SO few opportunities to actually CREATE your own lore and SHARE it. Like when you build a character you absolutely love you canât really just lore drop on the people youâre partying with cuz it should be naturally uncovered the longer you play together BUT you also canât really just start going ham about your character to people you dont either play with so there isnât like, a healthy venue where you can discus the things you think are cool about the character you made you know? Loved this, I love when someone takes something theyâve made and makes it cannon, so fun, I hope you do more of these!

I know EXACTLY the feeling you have lmao, the excitement of a campaign is insane. The character creation and back story is so incredibly fun just by itself and then there actually comes playing them, being them, and the want to share and talk about your character and campaign and the excitement I can tell you feel is one I know all to well. And yes i agree D&D beyond is great to use. I recently just got my own Dungeon Master Guide book myself. Anyway sorry for the rant, would love to hear more about the sessions and your D&D adventures.
