The watch unfortunately is overlooked by the watch enthusiasts, is not widely known and it deserves more recognition, yes it is not solar powered but at a price just little over 100 USD the watch is really a bargain.
You realize that this watch is something special just by looking at it: labled 'Rust Resist' and the turtle motif on the back are defenetly 2 things that are making the watch stand out.
All metalic parts made out of titanium and in particular case back is the main selling point and If one not paying too much attention seems that the turtle there holds a ninja sword but in fact it holds a pair of brushes, the connection with the sea and the ocean is undeniable.
One of my favourite G-Shocks - 1 in used, another brand new as spare. Also have the solar version but sold them as aside from solar & multiband, it actually a downgrade in functions, which is a surprise to me.

So, I am not the only one (crazy) that buys two pieces: one for use and one for keeping it as new.
@@bestopinion9257 For me it make sense knowing it is discontinued, so it's logical to have one as spare while it can be bought new and cheaply

I would recommend people to get the GW-9100.
If you have the money and the will buy both, are collectibles, if you need to buy only one, the GW-9100 is super ok so I concur with your recommendation
