- Super Mario Land doesn't have a title theme and instead uses Birabuto Kingdom. With this in mind I decided... hhhmmmm why not a custom arrangement of that song? Musicalman helped with the key slide and the guitar solo (pitch bend timings and vibrato).
This arrangement comes from the Super Mario Land CD released in Sep 01, 1989. Complete info: vgmdb.net/albu...
Original: • Super Mario Land Track...
I imagine Super Mario Land SNES with an artstyle reminiscint of Super Mario Bros. 1 All-Stars, like how SML2 used an artstyle like SMW.
That’d be cool to see. Honestly hope to see or be in a team that decides to remake it on snes in a dedicated style like smas.
@@LadiesMan217 funny you say that
That's none other than an Arranged version of Birabuto Kingdom! thank you...
I hope Muda Kingdom's next...
If this gets twice my average views within the month I’ll do another cd album cover.
@@LadiesMan217 Wonderful! 🥲
That'd be such a galaxy brain Easter egg if Nintendo really did it in their SMAS.
A SNES remix from the Arrangement album? A big nostalgia trip for me!
A very good choice, and a very good remix.
It’s funny bc the intro right before the main melody where it’s just the keys and strings sounds like a song from the Fire Force album. I guess the artist took inspiration from this or it was just a coincidence.
this is so good jeez. my face changed because i recognise this song from another remix
I’m happy to have done it justice!
WE WAITING ON THE TITLE SCREEN WITH THIS ONE‼️🗣💯💯🔥🔥

Awesome!!! The best SNES rendition of an already Fanmade remix!
I remember mentioning that I would actually expect the SMB1 Underwater theme reference to play at 0:29 to stay inline with the SMAS Title screen themes, even tho it wouldn’t have made any sense at all xD
Can't remember who it was, but someone did ask what plans did I have for the title theme. At the time I didn't know SML didn't have a dedicated title theme and well here we are. I'm sure its the comment in my chai kingdom vid.
This is one of my favourite renditions of Birabuto Kingdom, so hearing this covered in the SNES style brought a happy tear to my eye. You really did a beautiful job! It fits as a title theme PERFECTLY
Wow, thank you! Yeah it is such a great remix. I actually didn't know about the CD until I finished ported the whole ost but I think that worked much better in our favor bc who knows how different the songs would've come out. Essentially we'd have an SNES ost of the remixes and while I know a lot of people would've liked that, I personally (bias) like the covers we ended up with more, such as chai kingdom.
Imagine if we had had a SNES version of Super Mario Land instead of Super Mario All-Stars, it would have been a success without a doubt
One can only dream. If someone could make an authentic romhack or an actual snes homebrew utilizing the all stars style and my music that’d be awesome.
@LadiesMan217 new super mario land on the snes exists and has sound and graphics from NSMBDS.
@@benjaminreed5010 yeah I’m aware but wanted something like all stars.
This is awesome, conceptual stuff like this that could have reasonably been official but never ended up happening is probably my favorite type of fanwork.
I try my hardest to make it sound like what it could’ve been! I love these kinds of fan works as well. I never thought I’d be doing these kinds of things, much less sharing them and having an audience (whether big or small). It’s really nice to be reading the comments!

Well the work you put into it really shows! Not just in the authenticity of the instrumentation, but the arrangement itself went further than it technically "had" to -like the intro using bits from other tracks like the level clear theme, the arpeggio-ish background instrument adds a lot to the title screen feeling, the part that starts at 1:27 had me do a double take in how well it naturally fit while being completely unexpected, and I really like the fake loop point at 1:55 which leads up to a false ending at 2:23, then the interrupted-ending-loop-point-of-eternally-unresolved-tension at 2:39.
Super Mario Land doesn't use Birabuto Kingdom's music on its title screen. It's completely silent, just like the original versions of SMB, SMB2J, and SMB3.
That little inaccuracy in the description aside, I do enjoy this SNES remake of the CD arrangement!
Oh wow, is it the same for SML 2 and 3? I guess the playthrough I saw was edited to have the music on the title screen.
@@LadiesMan217 SML2 is the same: the title screen is silent. The first music you hear is the file select music. SML3, the first Wario Land game, is the first to change this trend as it has an opening cutscene that leads into the title screen music.
My god, it's a miracle! 🤩🤩🤩
Haha thanks!
imagine if it used the earthbound instruments since both are hirokazu tanaka games
Well now I’m curious lol
Oh wow, this sounds sooooo good!
Nicely done man!
Thanks a ton dude!
That's REALLY GOOD!!
Very beautiful
Thank you!
this rocks
Thank you!
it probably would’ve been another smb underwater arrangement
Maaaaaayyyyyybbbbe
Will you making Super Mario Land 2 OST with snes style?
Yes
@@LadiesMan217 yay
@@LadiesMan217do a title theme for Super Mario Land 2
Will there be more for this arrangement that’s a part of the cd because we would love to see it
Honestly can't say at this time. This was done bc it fit for the title theme since the game just uses the world 1 theme. I may come back to it after I finish the other 2 games. Chai Kingdom has been living rent free in my head so it's possible I may come back to it, if at least for that song. If this video does great in comparison to my other stuff then I'll have to XD.
The download link to your soundtrack is broken.
@@dublinersman12 It’s now lumped together with the sml2 ost. You can find it in one of my community posts.
Hey, I wanted to ask how you used to get the Foster the people official instrumentals, you filter them or you got access to them?
Private access. Sorry but part of the negotiation was not sharing the files. There are some things that are publicly available and if you want I can link them (assuming they still exist). Just send me a dm on discord if you’re interested.
@@LadiesMan217 thank you very much
