It's so wholesome because it's exactly what a kid would do with their toys! It's basically make-believe with whatever you have in your room, it reminded me of when I used to do that and gave me nostalgia

the burger king furbies are actually based off the 2005 furbies, while the macdonalds one was based off the 1998 furbies. Later on, macdonalds actually released low quality plush versions of their 1998 ones, and even later went back to plastic for a range of 2012 furbies
There also were Plush 2012 Furbys from McDonald's

i have the low quality plush ones and they suck. i compared em to my furby buddy and well, they are horrible.

The cheap Mp3's were my absolute favorite toy McDonald's ever released. The fact that it had Tokio Hotel was so mindblowing. I had to go to multiple different locations with my mom to get all of them but than oneday when my cousin stayed over she stole them and my aunt forced me to "gift" it to her. Have never recovered from this event 😂😅

The Changeables are even funnier now since Hasbro released 'BotBots' back in 2018. It's an official Transformers toy line and was recently adapted into an animated series, where robots turn into mundane household objects, among which include food items like burgers and shakes.

Core childhood memory unlocked! As a kid, I had a box of my uncle's old toys to play with at my grandma's house, and included in them were two of the transforming dinosaurs (the milkshake and ice cream cone) and a robot that turned into a box of nuggets. I always wondered why the robot and the dinosaurs looked different and never realized they were from different toy lines. I also had no idea they were meant to be dinosaurs. I thought they were aliens. Also I died laughing when you snapped it shut with the head out, because the second I saw it, I went, "Oh yeah, I remember that one! I always snapped it shut with the head out and pretended he was stuck and the other toys had to come help him!
There were also two of the costumed Mcnuggets. One was a firefighter, but I forget what the other one was.
I’m so happy I actually had the mcdinosaur changeable ones as a kid. The fry one’s legs were always stiff on mine too, the hotcakes-asaur was my favorite! No wonder I loved bugsnax so much, it was accessing a core memory of food animals. ❤😋

Some of the coolest fast food toys were the McDonald's Lego sets from 1999 since they were Genuine Buildable Lego Sets, though I'm also a sucker for the ones that would combine together to form a bigger toy (see also: Transformers Armada, Peter Pan Return to Never Land, and the Burger King 2008 Simpsons couch).

The next Happy meal toys will be based on Auction Hunters Series 5. They will be random objects from the first 8 episodes inside connectible storage units. These even include a closeable beartrap, triple barrel gun which makes firing sounds and a shredder with moving rollers, along with a pipe ramp, useable with Hot Wheels, a rock crawler with suspension, a 3d printer which draws geometric patterns on paper, a confetti blaster which shoots a plastic cylinder printed with confetti and an openable space suit.
I'm surprised that all of them (except the space suit) actually work!

My grandma had a lot of the super old McDonald's toys when I was a kid. I used to love playing with the robot transformers because she had the full set. Her collection might have been worth something if they were still in mint condition, but she got them all for her grandkids to play with. So many memories ❤
