Turnbuckle and Clevis Assemblies

The Steel Supply Company manufactures turnbuckle and clevis rod assemblies to fabricator specifications using round bar and hardware all melted and made in the USA. We supply the entire assembly, including turnbuckles, clevises, clevis pins, and lock nuts, if necessary.
When designing the assembly, the starting point is the measurement of length. Whether a turnbuckle assembly or a clevis rod, this measurement is done center-of-pin to center-of-pin. The fabricator should also provide rod diameter, clevis size number, clevis grip width, and clevis pin diameter.
Regarding the turn buckle, it should be indicated the amount of take up required. For most construction grade diameters, turnbuckles are offered with a 6” or 12” take up. It should also be noted if the turnbuckle is centered in the assembly, or offset. If additional take up is required, a second turnbuckle can be added to the assembly.
