Your Halana and Alena gets more impressive each time you show it off
This game has some of the most "old school Commander" vibes of any game I've watched in a while- big, powerful creatures and spells, unique interactions, and some very timely interaction.
I love the energy your games have and it's most reflective of what actual games of Commander are like in most of the playgroups I've been in. Your channel captures it better than any other I've watched so far.
Kharn! Mah boi! Love Kharn, such a fun deck, tossing him around the table, getting everyone punched, and having EVERYBODY draw cards! Makes for wild games, even if you won't win often, it's just a fun time.
Halana and Alena are so fun to play! Built it originally for when I wanted to think less and stomp more but it quickly became one of my favorite synergy decks.

3:41 looks like you forgot that kodama gives Temple to modified creatures here. Since kharn only has one toughness, you would’ve trampled 7 over and got a basic as kharn is dealt damage, since you only have to assign legal damage before counting trample and kharn would only prevent the one damage dealt to it, not the full hit.
I just built a Kharn deck myself and I've been loving it! I've had mixed results with vow of lightning specifically because of the first strike. It makes it a little harder for Kharn to take damage and bounce around the board like I want him to. Super fun commander, and a great excuse to play politics and guarantee an explosive game for the whole table.
Man, I love Kharn so much, such a cool commander. The only reason I don't play him more is because my friends always attack me with Kharn instead of each other, so I die real quick...
Maybe you can try adding in more Goad effects.
Fun trick I use in my own Kharn list, equipment like Captain's Claws or Inquisitorial Rosette will still trigger if opponents attack with the creature they are equipped to! Slap these on Kharn and each time the guy attacks, it makes you some bodies to block with! All effects that say "Whenever enchanted/equipped creature attacks/deals combat damage" etc. work like this, making some fun interactions with Kharn!
Assault suit is the answer
That'sthe issue with him, you need extra cards and resources to make it so your own Kharn doesn't kill you, on top of everything else. That's why I've moved over to Slicer, which is a shame. I'm a big 40k lore fan and would love to run Kharn as a commander, but he just can't seem to do well for me
@@Vektor480 I'm more jank than that, so I have a Zurgo Helmsmasher deck that tutors out assault suit. Being indestructible as it goes around the table and smashes for 9+ commander damage is kind of sweet.

You guys should play a horde game. 4 decks and a huge zombie deck that attacks a random player each combat. The rules are pretty easy to look up online

@3:26 Your tree has trample. It should have done 6 damage. You also should have gotten a land Andrew. Is trample like your rhystic study triggers? You just forget it?
I thought it granted it to OTHER creatures haha
Also i believe Kharn had trample under your control because of his enchantment. Doing that Kodama dirty this game :)

The Athreos trigger isn't a may. Maybe there wasn't a narration for them, but I feel like more than a few might've been missed
I didn't narrate them all. Micah was very good about putting them on stuff.
