Carlos Rodiles, director of La Zagaleta Country Club, tells us how it differs from other private golf clubs.
La Zagaleta is the most luxurious and secluded country club in Europe. Created in 1991, La Zagaleta is located in a privileged setting on 900 hectares. The initial plan was to build 3,000 homes, but the mastermind behind the operation, Enrique Pérez Flores (currently Honorary Chairman of the Company) suggested just 420. With this figure, low density construction was guaranteed, and as a result, the homes are currently surrounded by abundant well-kept vegetation, with views of the Mediterranean, Africa, Gibraltar, lakes and two 18-hole golf courses.
More than 260 have now been built, with a total area of 3,000 and 10,000 m2 and prices ranging from 3 to 34 million euros.
La Zagaleta offers top level construction and interior design, road infrastructures and numerous services, such as its equestrian facility with 23 stables and 4 arenas open to both adults and children, tennis courts and a helipad, to name a few. But above all, La Zagaleta is a place where clients find discretion and the highest possible level of security (closed circuit surveillance, security gates, guards and so on).
