Happy to see Ford really get serious with the 2024 Mustang performance cars! Well done Ford! And good on you Town and Country for not gouging your customers!
@@WillyTrip several reasons that require a long answer. I bought a 2016 GT350 new when I was 59 and traded it in when I was 61, so age is a small factor. In 2016 Ford made 3 types of GT350, the GT350R, the GT350 Track Package and the GT350 Technology Package. I bought the Track Package car that came with the base Mustang interior and the Recaro seats. The 2016 GT350 is a tremendous performance car but it has issues. The Voodoo engine had some oil consumption problems and my engine only had 15 PSI pressure at idle and 37 PSI hot at highway speed. Low oil pressure and 8500 RPM is not a good combination. I was a member of a GT350 group online. One guy had a service replacement engine installed because he was getting 200 miles per quart of oil, they also had to replace his cats. Another guy was getting 500 miles per quart but Ford said that was acceptable consumption. So, with low oil pressure and the possibility of a very expensive engine repair/replacement in my future (plus I hated the Recaro seats) I decided to trade the GT350 for a new GT Premium Performance Package 1. I never looked back, I was relieved to get rid of the GT350.
The Dark horse replaced the GT350. And will be marked up in turn. 40k-50k over MSRP. I’ll be glad when FORD factory sells direct to customer. Still has the S550 platform. Sorry but I’ll keep my current mustangs.

A fantastic redesigned Mustang with an interior nicer than most ultra expensive vehicles. Waiting for pricing to decide which model fits my budget. I saw the new Gen 4 Coyote and noticed it had headers installed. Will this be standard, optional or just on the display engine. Thanks for sharing your informative video. And did I hear you correctly. Your dealership doesn't add a mark up on the MSRP?
As a 2022 1LE Camaro owner, this mustang has a similar body shape of the Camaro. If Ford's intention is to attract Camaro owners.. well, they have my attention. Very nice looking Mustang!
The GT is plenty fast for me. I’m thinking maybe the GT350/500 won’t be around since the GT and Dark Horse seem to cover those models. Display is amazing but I hope Ford will stay with some knobs and switches to avoid scrolling through menus. I love the new GT! Great review 👍
It screams being the lovechild from a wild night between a Camaro and a Mustang. For some reason, with the exception of the dash, I think I like it. Definitely #savethemanual
I dont know why people are claiming this is the "first time we get different front ends" on different engine trim levels. Does nobody remember the 2005 - 2012 Mustang front ends (V6 vs GT)? They were both different, and rightfully so. They took that away in 2013 when the Mustangs all had the same stupid front end to save manufacturing costs (with the fog lamps in the front fascia being the only difference between GT and v6).
I like the exterior but not the interior. I am not normally fussy about interiors but this one looks out of place to me. I know I among the few lol. I like old school looking gauges and switches.

Just bought a 2024 mustang GT Premium with active valve exhaust package and brembo brakes. Paid $49,415 bucks for this beast machine. Here are my findings after 100 miles in local city driving..... Who said it was going to? GT500 is top of the line. Nothing can dethrone it.
DETROIT Never died..
Amazing Auto Show.
Awesome! Well done Ford! I had a 2016 Shelby GT350 Track Package and a 2018 PP1 GT. I didn't love the Shelby (although it looked amazing) but the 2018 Performance Package 1 GT was probably the best car I've ever owned. Happy to see Ford really get serious with the 2024 Mustang performance cars! Well done Ford! And good on you Town and Country for not gouging your customers!
I'm curious, why do you prefer the GT Performance Pack over the GT350?
Well presented. I'll be watching for the notice when orders can start.
Front end looks like the Mustang Mach E GT Performance. Also has the Magna Ride
I just spoke with one of your sales reps thank you for the video. I will Be ording through your loaction and flying down to scoop my Dark Horse up.
I'm excited about the resale value on my 2015 Roush S2.
The Dark horse replaced the GT350. And will be marked up in turn. 40k-50k over MSRP. I’ll be glad when FORD factory sells direct to customer. Still has the S550 platform. Sorry but I’ll keep my current mustangs.
You nailed it with it looking like a Camaro also it looks like a charger it might grow on me it wasn’t like the s550 when I seen it I loved it right away but love the tech in the car. I just hope it’s not priced $70-$80 grand for a Gt
Im thinking
70k dark horse
50k GT
35k eco
@@aytothemm.1035 i was thinking more than that 😅
@@BJTF3D maybe but they have to stay competitive. If a c8 cost $65k starting why would i buy a dark horse in the same price or more
@@aytothemm.1035 A C8 65k is MSRP they’re selling at 80-90k for a 2020 right now
@@aytothemm.1035 and all in all it’s still a mustang it’s not some exotic car with a v12 engine, but the trend marking up the car as much as possible.. I hate dealerships more then anything
Ford went all out on the 2024 Ford Mustang from the bottom but the bottom is nice with 350 plus hp to the amazing racing machines with 800 hp and sprinkle in a variety of other killer machines in the middle! Way to go FORD.
This Mustang is the best Mustang yet! The Dark Horse is the car!
I’m glad to hear your comparison to the Camaro so I’m not the only one.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this video
Let the mark ups begin
Great video as always. I love the new interior - Ford did a great job. Was hoping not to get into another car payment for a while since paying off my Shelby, but hard to resist this new stang.
As a jdm guy this dark horse really catches my attention
Definitely looks like a Camaro 😂 I have owned 8 mustangs just to name a few: the mighty 04 Cobra, 2012 Boss 302 and most recent the 2017 Gt 350. Not digging this design, maybe it might grow on me. Great review as always.
R.B. Nice history of Mustang ownership! Great choices. I stood on the sidelines for decades until seeing the 2024 Mustangs...then I ran out quickly to buy a 2023 Mach1 ....I dont ever have to want my next car to grow on me, I want to lust after it like I did the Boss 302s and my wife.
Real talk tho the Dark Horse is the first vehicle ive seen wearing mascara!
LOL
A fantastic redesigned Mustang with an interior nicer than most ultra expensive vehicles. Waiting for pricing to decide which model fits my budget. I saw the new Gen 4 Coyote and noticed it had headers installed. Will this be standard, optional or just on the display engine. Thanks for sharing your informative video. And did I hear you correctly. Your dealership doesn't add a mark up on the MSRP?
As a jdm fan this is a huge Win for car enthusiasts worldwide
As a 2022 1LE Camaro owner, this mustang has a similar body shape of the Camaro. If Ford's intention is to attract Camaro owners.. well, they have my attention. Very nice looking Mustang!
Those blinkers look even better than the current ones
Agreed!
I like the back end awesome looking, Good Job Mitchell on the 2024 Mustang can't wait to see the Dark horse Mustang and the new Interior.
Ford is the industry leader of half baked ideas. That dash display reaffirms their commitment to design after thought.
Looks like a Charger and a Camaro had a baby
Mustang IS its own Brand Name now !
People hate the S550 interior? It is one of my absolute favorite things about the car??? Why do people hate it?
I agree. It especially looks good when comparing it to this new interior. The huge screen is tacky. Looks terrible.
550 is golden, especially compared to this screw up.
I want the dark horse...
I love the designing...calso since I'm getting a job this year, hopefully I will have enough...
Not good looking at all! S550 refresh again with a ugly digital dash
They made some really nice changes to the 2.3L, I just want to get a look at the block!
There is literally NO WAY the last generation of combustion Mustangs will not have a Shelby variant.
You are the first reviewer that’s pointed out what I said the first time I seen the new mustang….it’s a Camaro with a horse symbol on it!
It screams being the lovechild from a wild night between a Camaro and a Mustang. For some reason, with the exception of the dash, I think I like it.
Definitely #savethemanual
Hope the Mustang was on top during the deed.
Not among the few. I think most will agree. Screens are terrible. They look tacky and will not she well. A huge miss by Ford on the interior
I 100% word to word agree with his opinion on how the new mustang looks from every angle. I hope it grows on me over time.🤷🏻♂️
As soon as I saw the new mustang I instantly said the rear end looked like a Camaro. The vents inside also remind me of the Camaros shape.
The whole car looks like the Camaro
@@ChrisLewis20 you’re not wrong. I’m just happy I have my 2017 Shelby. I have no need to upgrade.
ford must have been doing some good drugs to think mustang guys wanted a camaro looking new stang, at the same time they were probably more interested in trying to get chevy and or dodge guys buying this thing.
@@ChrisLewis20 I tried telling a guy this underneath another a video and he kept arguing with me saying it didn’t(I’m a Camaro owner, so I said, dude. In being a Camaro owner myself, I can spot any resemblance in a second). To where I just simply moved on. It’s really annoying to come across people where even if something is blatant. They will argue it to the grave. Now someone reading this may say, well to him maybe it didn’t where my response would be. If you have two eyes and you don’t see the resemblance to how much this car looks like a Camaro. You’re in denial or need to get your eyes checked.
When everyone is going electric I think ford had some balls throwing a v8 I love the concept and the car everything but people will always have hate for no reason.
The front end would look so much better if that lower part around the grille was body color.
That launch mode sounds so cool!!!🤩
13.9 inch rotors on the front and 19 inch wheels!!!!!!!!!!! lol he said 19 inch rotor up from h hahahhahaha
I was gonna say....
Nice Camaro Ford. You dropped the ball.
The new mustang looks very “camaroish”!
Nice to see the V8 will be sticking around. Not ready for electric yet. Won’t be for a long time
I love the Key fob rev option!!
I concur. The more l look @ that new body style the more l like it & l see the potential of where they can go w/ it on future models. It's all good
the current ecoboop is hella fun im sure this one will be fun too
I love it.. I actually have a 2016 Mustang and it's been great. Best part is it is NOT EV, hybrid, etc. What's not to like about this car?
The dash is awful. It's an absolute deal breaker for me. I agree with the rear end looks like a Camaro. That may grow on me, but the dash never will.
Agreed 100%. I was beyond disappointed as soon as I saw the awful screens. I was hoping the manufacturers were listing to the consumers and moving away from that.
Totally agree...its like they took 2 android tablets and mated them together and just plopped it on the dash. I hate this design and idk why newer interiors in some cars are like this.
Same, it's absolute cheese. I had to check to see if it was April 1st, that had to be a prank.
Stick w/ what UR research and Analytics tell you about the future and gauges. Y'all mention a different manufacturer. Keep in mind Ford wasn't bailed out by the government from foreclosure.
I think It's gorgeous! With an updated Coyote 5.0L V8 & 6spd manual. Cannot go wrong w/ these sports cars. Have an 04 SVT Cobra terminator in garage & hope to have a '24 Stang GT. 💯👍
Hey look its a Camaro...
There's no replacement for displacement. #V8 Great video as usual. I'm a "steam gauge" fan in cars (and aircraft) but I really like the look of the new glass dash.
absolutely HATE the gauge iPad look and now Ford is making it so it cant be tuned?? its a hard NO for me
the wing on the GT3 is sweet
We lose the GT500, we lost the GT350, we didn't get all wheel drive or electric (no, the Mach-E minivan is not an electric Mustang). All we got is 20 more horsepower you can't put down and a video game interior.
So sad. Just like the 90s, Ford is letting the competition leave the Mustang behind.
19" rotors on a 19" wheel? Can't wait to see this.
Looks like a camero
With how the competition is going I think this gen mustang will be objectively the best v8 muscle car we will ever get.
Stop saying it looks good, it doesn't. They are destroying the mustang.
Still better than a Dodge or anything jdm 😂
AND I WILL BUY A FULLY LOADED DARK HORSE WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ANYWAY.
Just bought a 2024 mustang GT Premium with active valve exhaust package and brembo brakes. Paid $49,415 bucks for this beast machine. Here are my findings after 100 miles in local city driving..... MPG is 9.5 . Seats are plain jane with a manual 6 way control and lacks lumbar support. Radio is average and sound volume is good. Trunk is huge and offers lots of space. comes with a cheap blow up machine in case i get a flat tire. Sound is awesome and rips 486 hp that wakes up the dead. luv it. This is my experience with this 6 speed manual V8. Lots of high tech and parelli tires come standard. Is it worth 49K. the verdict is still out. You tell me....
