How To Code A Shooter Game In Scratch 3.0
Today we will be using Inputs and Movements to make a zombie shooter. We will also be creating clones to create bullets and zombies that chase you! This Scratch 3.0 tutorial shows you how to make a Zombie Shooter. You'll learn the basics of making a game with this easy tutorial. Everyone, from beginners to advanced scratch users will learn the basics of movement, shooting, and game over screens. You don't have to be a programmer to follow along, just a person who wants to game an awesome game!

Hadn't seen 'Irresponsible cameran guy...' animation for some time now. Nice, and to me, more accesible than the techinical tutorials. The distotorted voice effect in some instances made it difficult for me to understand the words. Thank you.

@@JacksonAcademy1 Thank you for including me in your list. With you guys I get the feeling of witnessing something really nice developing right before my eyes, and for free. Perhaps I would have liked something similar for myself, in a very abstract image of course, because there wasn't anything even similar until I was waaay beyond your age. But another thing is that this activity could and should help your overall development in other things around your life. Prrhaps more under the animation than the other technical stuff. Perhaps the distortion is related to the volume, it is not totally across the dialogues. Thank you, give my regards to mom and dad, the big girls and Fatima, the use to be little one.

This seems like a good demonstration video I'd say, this is a perfect example for making a 2d game for mobile or pc. As a minecraft player who has made multiple mods this is a great example for me to use in a 'shooter' game. Thanks

thx man i like the game i like how it turned out but if there is 1 thing i would change it is that the left and right in most games is how you turn

if green flag clicked forever if right arrow pressed turn clock wise 15 degrease if left arrow pressed turn counter clock wise 15 degrease not point towards mouse pointer.
..BTW thanks. You dont think Left right works fine. Whats the advantage to the other way?

put the not block in the wait until block.

missiles do fly only in the middle and do not fly from the pistol, but from the other side

I have done all of the code correctly and I am at 3:25 in the video but when I put the point towards mouse pointer in the code, instead of the sprite/Player staying on the spot looking towards the mouse pointer it is moving around in an invisible circle around the backdrop. Can you help please?

Tips:
- If one projectile every .5 seconds is to slow for you, try one projectile every .25 seconds.
- If one zombie spawning every second is too overkill for your taste, try 3 or 5 seconds.

Tip: If your sprite got cut off, just draw a invisible box which covers the costume

This is great for the plane game im trying to make, but there is a problem. The bullets go in the direction for the sprite that is being cloned. HALP

Hey do you know give the zombies multiple spawn points because I want the zombies to spawn at different locations I tried using a variable and a pick random block but it didn't work
when i join the code point toward of mouse pointer so the player full body is control of mouse can you fix?

I have a problem i followed all of your steps but when i run it up i cant shoot or move the character with a mouse pointer unless i move and Up and down dont work they only work if i press left+up or left+down or right+up or right+down making me only go horizontally

want your zombie to disintegrate on death? go into the zombies code, move the delete this clone block and put an if block there. then put the delete clone block under it.after that's done, put a if touching block in the slot, and select the bullet.now you put a change ghost effect block, then and wait block, and change that to .2.then repeat the last step two more times. there you go!

Make the sprite face a different direction, this happened to me too and all you need to do is make the player of bullet sprite face the same direction

If your having problems with the flag clicked thing when you move its because the flags not always running. How you solve this is
Go to events, get the block when space key pressed, then set the key you want pressed to up arrow, down arrow, any arrow, and set the move button to 10, you get what i mean for moving.
One last thing before you get to the video, if you want to have a good experience playing the zombies game, set up arrow to w and down to s and set right to d and set a to left, that way you can be quicker to get to the space button to shoot.

Hello, nice and simple tutorial so it's great for beginners. But when testing the bullets in the game, they aren't lining with the gun. Instead they go to the left arm. I'm pretty sure I followed your instruction to a T. Any way to fix this?
