Skip is right, Dak doesn't have the "it" factor. Sure, Dak plays great in the regular season, but when push comes to shove in the post season, he just doesn't have "it." The defense didn't make GB punt once in the playoffs. Dak got the Cowboys back within 11pts, would've been 10 if the kicker didn't miss the extra point with a quarter and a half left to play. CeeDee is clutch but he dropped 2 crucial passes early in that game.

Aikman threw 17ints in 16 playoff games. He threw 4ints and 3ints twice in four different games. The reason Aikman was able to overcome was the Cowboys had a great Def and Running game! Dak doesn't have either.
Dak has had a great running game & great defense.. 19-12 against 49ers, 23-16 against 49ers.. He literally just doesn’t show up

Right Current defense gave up at least two 200- 300 yard rushing games . and teams hung up over 35 at times. Play calling and skeems seem to get stagnate in playoffs. Daks starts slow and defense but usually the opposing team could let off rhe gas and get comfortable.. Hence the empty calorie debate
It's an entirely different league now. It's Aikman's era, an 4,000 yard passing season was considered phenomenal. Now, it's the expectation. Given Dak's history of injury, it would be better for him as well as the team, if he was asked to do less. The Cowboys don't need him to throw for 375 yards a game. They need to run more. Truth be told, they should have kept Zeke and traded Pollard. Nothing against Pollard, but he's not an every down running back.

He's tied for losses with Josh Allen but here's the difference. Josh has lost to a proven and elite Burrow and Mahomes. Got blown out at home vs Burrow but put up a really good performance vs Chiefs and lost by a missed field goal. Dak has lost to average to below average Jimmy G, the last draft pick of 2022, and first year no expectations Jordan Love. All the losses, Dak played poorly and underdelivered.

Patrick Mahomes looks like a genius because of Andy Reid and the other coaches and their front office. The KC defense carried KC last season. Mahomes didn't have great year because the offensive pieces just weren't that good. It was the same with Dak in the playoff they had one star Cee Dee and no running game. The other difference was a Defense that couldn't carry a bucket of water.
If Tony Romo had ever had a defense or a running game like what Dak benefits from, he would have had great playoff success. Prescott has a Cadillac handed to him, and he drives it like a Ford Aspire.
