The only issue I have with building this tanky into morde is that your team wasn't really able to kill him in some team fights where he split you guys up... I don't know if Divine Sunderer would have changed it, but some anti healing or a black cleaver would help?

I have no idea how you manage to beat a morde with Illaoi. Every time I play against him with her I get spanked.
Stay far away from him,and poke him with E's and when he is low just all in him,but dodge He's E no matter what
I'd be so tilted if I shutdown my champs counter just for my team to feed him 10 kills and then continuous ping spam.
Have you ever considered radiant virtue? I know it’s a tank mythic, but in some of these matchups I’ve found black cleaver first into radiant virtue second can be really strong for extended team fights.
The basic ability cdr feels pretty nice especially when combined with illaoi W cdr she gets from ulting anyway.
Edit: new Radiant buffs coming out might make this even more consistent, looking forward to it
Sheen is too good on illaoi, so if you don’t take iceborn or sunderer, you should at least take essence reaver. Then at least you don’t need tear.

Yesterday's during a match, i was playing Illaoi(ofc) vs Mordekaiser. Morde ulted me 8 times and he died 8 times in return 😅
this built is super nice, but the stride breaker glacial augment one was the best ever, saddly they had to gutt it :(
How did he counter the first mordekaiser ulti? And how did he noticed he fail? I’m kind of lost…
illaoi r has a split second of unstoppable on cast, useful for clutch plays

How do you know Mord has pressed alt?
There is a certain animation that plays, when he points his mace at you I think
And an audio queue. Sometimes the fights get visually busy and you can't see, but you can always keep an ear out for the demonic gurgle. (The audio does play a little after the animation has started, so it's better to watch the mace if you can)
@@lordderppington4694 I use to have the audio cue down to a science until the PROJECT skin. Once that thing landed and the sound changed it completely took me off my timing, lol.
@@karsonkammerzell6955 ain't that the truth. I have no clue why champion skins affect timing and hotboxes but it is honestly disgusting. You'd think for a company that tries to be so "professional" they'd try to put a little more effort into clarity, alas it is riot games.

Your character can literally disable his ult, but you call more a counter. Its a huge skill gap matchup.
It is a skill based matchup in 30 ping. If you are playing at 50 ping it is nearly impossible to counter Morde ult
@@OldSchoolGM94 does 20 ping really make that much of a difference? It doesn't seem like 0.02 of a second would make the matchup unplayable, especially when his R takes like half a second to go off. I've never played on less than 60 ping though so I don't have a point of comparison.
@@aprofessionalateverything7585 yes. I used to play on 50+ ping consistently until I moved. I climbed from Silver to Gold just because I could dodge obvious skillshots way better

@@dangnguyenho9665 ye hes insane i try that, its really hard to predict. Because normally if morde do not cast ulti immediately, he can kill u just by abilities because u cannot cast ur abilities if u do u cannot cast ulti in time
might be late but illaoi ult makes her unstoppable (immune to cc) while in the ult animation, and morde's ult counts as a cc so things that can remove cc can negate his ult (like qss)
@@Baltr Ye we know. Thats what i have said. Also window when are u immune is about 0,2sec . Show me how u use that corretly in the game every time ☺️
