It's funny cause after I saw a comment under a Dish video Aventurine is just Kaeya to me. They are so similar it's crazy. To anyone interested the comment was:

Yeah, Aventurine is the closest to Kaeya. It just gets overlooked because not many people pay attention to Kaeya's story and because they just want Ratio/Aventurine to be Alhaitham/Kaveh 2.0 so they try to fit Aventurine into the Kaveh box while ignoring that they have absolutely nothing in common past being both blonds.
@Persephoneia01 kaveh does have similarities beyond the blond part. They both are carrying guilt related to their family and going through lengths to protect their image and reputation. While Kaeya is a more direct peacock imagery, Kaveh is a bird of paradise, which a smaller bird, but still colorful and related to royalty
Edit: forgot to add this but they're also similar in the way they have pride in their capabilities but have repressed insecurities and anxieties related to it (aven fearing loss in high-stakes gambles, while kaveh doubts his own skill and genius)
But, overall, Aventurine is a combination of Kaeya, Childe, and Kaveh.
Oh, I knew there was a connection between their overall characters and design.. No wonder why they are my most favourite characters in their respective games..
Interestingly enough I don't feel attracted to Kaeya, but I'm simping hard for Aventurine. I feel like I know Aven (backstory and all), but Kaeya is this enigmatic/mysterious person, therefore in my eyes not that trustworthy.

"We can't take Dr. Ratio's job!" B-but, I wanna :( But yeah, kit-wise, he can either go focus more on defense or counters depending on your preferred build for him.
Somehow I did a good deal of both, mainly defense but his crit dmg is decent as well. the only thing I'm missing is 135 spd (131 since I only have spd boots) His 5* Lc helps w/adding more crit dmg for a decent sub-dps role.

@@oceanicGrimalkin hope you win, I've been skipping character banners since the Blade rerun and only pulled both LC and character because I was guaranteed. Now I'm continuing to save up for Topaz so I can have an optimal FUD team, for now Clara's doing fine.

I've been using him a lot with Ratio, Jing Yuan, and Xueyi. Finally got the SU alt mode difficulties that have been sitting around for months, taken care of easily just with stacking preservation and elation blessings for that team. Infinite shield. 👌 Love how so many things in his kit scale on his def.

Working on his traces now. I have him at level 80 as well as his relic set at level 15 each. Since I have time and tons of missions I haven't done I'll try for his light cone.
Same, honestly if you can his signature light cone is amazing for both a sub-dps and defense role. Hope you get his LC, I shall give you my remaining Aventurine luck!

While I can understand some of the Alhaitham & Ratio comparisons (though really they're only alike on a very, very shallow level of them both being intelligent), anyone that thinks Kaveh & Aventurine are anything alike completely ignored Aventurine's storyline and personality and just care about Ratio/Aventurine being a repeat of Alhaitham/Kaveh. Aventurine is much, much closer to Kaeya than he is Kaveh. Kaveh is the ultimate idealist and kind to a fault. Aventurine is a scrappy realist that has no qualms about manipulating or using others. They're practically polar opposites.
certainly they are really quite different. although i feel the comparison is more so about the dynamic between the pairing rather than them having similar characters. the whole thing of arguing and insults when they actually care about each other. then again, even thats not entirely accurate since its usually only raitio doing the insulting

i def think kaveh has more in common with ratio than aventurine, what with his drive for the betterment of all people (raise the floor, not the ceiling). and ratio has more in common with alhaitham design wise than personality wise. he's their ultimate love child

Is *ex all people can think about these days? It’s so… jarring. Like, why does every character who’s portrayed as partners or friends or rivals viewed as people who constantly have *ex?
So much of any community is- unfortunate for your expectations- influenced by socialization, shipping content more specifically
it's what most people are interested in, the interaction of individuals is what interests other people to engage in content, especially the relationships of characters in a game
As someone on the ace end of the scale...I actually don't think about sex that much. That said, I _do_ think the interactions between Ratio and Aventurine are very interesting and I can see how people might interpret it as having sexual tension. It's really not that big of a deal.
ive seen many who dont treat them as "ex" idk who do it but is not a big part of the comunity, me including, i respect them individualy and i see a lot of potential in them as a pairing no matter in platonic or romantic way
