Generally love the commentator but i got to say whatever script he got combined with the possible lack of sleep really makes this sound like hes reading some kind of novel out loud, very strange..
Yes agree, it almost worked as a bedtime story sending me to sleep! Also thanks to poor editing, his voice is often drowned out by the original soundtrack.
As great of a rider as Julien is and as much as I love to see him in action, that move in the sprint was just a big no-no. Hirschi would've won if Julien didn't swerve so violentely
Even the World Champion must behave on the roads. Untimely celebration, 2nd place, then relegation to 5th place, Alaf' must have learned a couple of things yesterday : do show respect to the Rainbow jersey and don't underestimate the competition.
Alaphilippe apologized to Hirschi and said in post race inter interview that he is sorry for Hirschi and that jury decision was fair and fully justified.
Hirschi said that J.A is a nice guy and that he knows it wasn't intentional.
Two grown-up and decent adults actually!!
Alaphillipe has a record of dirty and dangerous behaviour in sprints. It's totally intentional. Alaphillipe needs to pull his head in and sprint fairly and not put others in danger.
Safe to say Alaphilippe won't forget 2020

So happy to see Roglic win! Although would have been interesting to see what hirschi and pog could have done in the sprint.

Allaphillippe is a real talent and was one of the riders who animated stages... I don't know him personally so I can't comment on the changes in his behaviour and whether the Rainbow Jersey has gone to his already bloated ego... Settle down son, no one likes a show off... Wow there were some heavy hitters in that race... I think the next 5 years of racing could be some of the best.

If only poor @eurosport had enough resources to hire a sound engineer. or maybe even just somebody with ears and one finger to move the background audio fader down and the commentator mic fader up. I know they're a small company and it's a tricky task but maybe they could do a whip round? Or maybe even use some of the subscription money?
Alaphilipe did not look like a gentleman in this race. 3:22 was completely unnecessary, let alone the finish. Pity for Hirschi, but well deserved for Roglic!

Never liked Allaphilipe. He’s very nervous and dangerous to other riders. He swings from left to right pretty often and could knock riders over like Jungels did in the TDF. Not only here but on all races if you’re attend enough

But nobody can be a 100% sure what would happen in the end if Alaphilippe didn't cheat. Ok maybe Hierci would win, maybe Pogačar, maybe Alaphilippe or maybe Roglic.. There were still a few meters to the finish and a few posible scenarios.
In the end the winner is the one who comes across the finish line first.

He cant talk, he rambles, he knows almost nothing, he is wrong ALL the time, he makes things up, he sees almost nothing of importance, he misunderstands the few thing he does see. He ruined most of my enjoyment of watching this live.. And now he lost his "poise and indeed his determination." There's even a petition to get rid of Carlton Kirby.. He's probably a nice person, but he is not a good cycling commentator Eurosport.. Please! It's unbearable!
