Thank you so much, Dr. Cremers. I am one of thousands of permanent victims of isotretinoin ("Accutane") and I most appreciated you making this video.

I appreciate this video so much. I am desperate to get rid of my acne, but the permanent affects of accutane send a chill through me. My eyes are already very bad (-8.5 in both eyes) and i have a bad feeling id lose my vision if i messed with my already delicate eyesight

Same here!! I have -8.5 in both eyes too and I was prescribed Accutane. Did you try it? I don't think I will after reading all the side effects

So would using eyes drops every day help with situations like this? I defientely dont want my eye site to go bad. That being said I'm an student/ white collar worker so starring at the screen for 10 hrs a day.
Would Eye exercises, eye drops..etc help prevent peramenent damage?

I am suffering from ocular migraines (and have for years). The frequency is much more prevalent as of late and I am trying to research any potential links to Accutane as I took it for several months and have had many other side affects over the past several years. Any information or links to reputable resources or research would be appreciated. TY.

I’m on accutane right now and usually the main side affect is very dry lips but in my case I have an extremely dry face. Dryness and peeling all over my cheeks and forehead. Is this meant to happen cause I don’t hear anyone else mention dryness occurring all over their face.

indeed. for men with oily skin / seborrhea, accutane is the only option ( low dose accutane). For women birth control might have an effect on the oil gland however accutane remains the most effective

Dermatologists lie about the permanent effect of meibomian gland dysfunction to your eyes from accutane. I have spoken to 5 dermatologists who all claim that accutane dry eyes is temporary. I haven’t talked to a single dermatologist who is honest about this effect or provides patients with informed consent for this risk.

They lie about it so that you will agree to take the drug without knowing the risks, because they only care about getting patients and a paycheck… they don’t care about your health. Sadly, medicine has become so corrupt.
