Alfred Keter defines the correct meaning of people's representative. He has the people's concerns at heart. Unfortunately the powers that be prefer sycophants to intelligent persons like Alfred. Kudos to him ! Kenyans deserve such leaders.

Ruto likes dumb people whom he can manipulate. We saw this with Jubilee 2 election primaries, where Waititu, Sonko and the likes were brought on board and most recently his No.2. Very dumb and clueless.

There are three main areas that govts around the world guarantee their citizens. health, education and shelter. Europe, US and all developed countries govt has a hand in housing otherwise leave housing to the private sector then you will only have the rich owing houses reason why we only have 18,000 mortgage out of a population of 55million Kenyans. Imagine having private sector provide education and health. Only the rich will afford.
Now on issue of housing devolving to counties, we all know counties as they are have no capacity to deal with such a huge issue that requires huge resources. The govt needs to provide the funding and the counties just need to ensure the housing is being done, provide the space etc. Even in USA the federal govt provides housing in all states known as affordable housing. Even in Europe govts subsidize affordable housing.
