It’s amazing how the teacher can teach them all . I teach 20 color guard with all the band member of 100 . And I already feels crazy everyday 😂 how can they teach this many band members 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Honestly the band director (or directors in many cases) at these big schools function more like the head of a business when it comes to marching band. Most of the teaching and coaching is done by the other staff they hire (marching coach, visual caption head, brass/woodwind caption head, section coaches, etc.). They hire a lot of staff. Still requires a lot of talent, but it's probably not near the workload you're imagining--their talents are poured into different things.

@@the_good_fam7873 I know this is hella late but I'ma comment anyway since I was feeling nostalgic and rewatching shows from my previous seasons: at our grand park rehearsal before nats that year, hebron was the band in their rehearsing right before us, and holy shit that was the first moment I realized how serious the competition is, and always has been, and always will be. Freshman year I was too dazed by winning everything to comprehend, but sophomore year, seeing hebron's last run of their rehearsal, it's really freaking emotional to think back on it
@@nickniehaus1763 Ok, thanks. I'll look the music up . And congrats on 2nd place last night. I was there. You guys had a big and full and meaty sound and were the loudest of the night. The band really filled the stadium up with sound. I did think a lot of the show was pretty slow though.

The organization in charge of copyrighting performances like these is really really strict about 3rd party accounts posting performances, so saying “this is not” can kinda trick the copyright auto detect thing I don’t really know for sure
