The "town" by the glacier you spotted is not actually a town, but the observation area for the Grossglockner mountain across the glacier to the west. Having been there real life once, this was one of the first places I visited in Austria. Innsbruck is still my favorite airport to fly out of in MSFS2020.
So true - the world is now open to us, to visit/experience places we may never get to/fly over IRL. It is accurate enough to have a sense of wonder, turning around a mountain to a wide vista or valley, a large inlet in BC or Alaska . . . wide expanse in Botswana or Namibia. Coupled with the weather system, GA flying is a delight in this sim, realistic and immersive in ways never before possible. There are strides to be made in the IFR realm, systems and procedural capabilities, but for the VFR/bush pilot connoisseur you couldn't really wish for more. New aircraft will be on the way as the SDK fleshes out and Asobo and 3rd party devs get their hands and minds working ever more with it. Exciting times and much, much to look forward to. Love the videos - keep them coming because we will be watching.
I couldn't agree more! I cannot wait for the future.
The views are amazing, hoping to fly this way in the sim soon, btw love your morals regarding reviews.
Thank you 😊 I try to be critical but fair.., developers out a lot of work in but I want to be honest also
Someone used the word calming to describe your voice the other day and I have to say they are absolutely correct. ❤❤❤ luv your commentary style and random thoughts
Thank you so much 🤗
WEll, I see this is an older video, judging by the guys comment below! The VL3 reminds me of Jimmys World's Lancair!
Hop everyones day went well.
Have I told you how much I like this channel lately? This flight was amazingly beautiful, the scenery was stunning! Looking forward to the next flight!
Thanks Marrk! It was super fun to make, and I'm really loving this channel, its exactly what I love... not that I don't love the other... but this has been a lifelong passion that the other equipped me with the tools that allow me to do this! Does that make sense?
@@AvAngel Absolutely makes perfect sense. I love your passion for flying and sharing your experiences with us through this channel. ❤❤
Loving the new channel so much Rachael. Stunning flight out of an amazing field and such a cute little plane. Rotax ftw
Thanks so much!!
"OMG What is that thing?" I do believe that large aircraft you were looking at at the time is the Shorts SC-7 Skyvan (Also known as the flying shoe box)
She's a twin turboprop, primarily used for short haul cargo flights and skydiving. As an interesting point, and kudos to Orbx, OE-FDN is actually a real skyvan, with that beutiful livery, she's owned by a company called PinkAviation, and it looks like they fly her an her consorts (they own a number of Skyvans, all with similarly outlandish paint schemes) around Europe, I'm not certain what they use them for..... but have seen a picture of people skydiving out of FDN, though doubt she's used purely for skydiving, usually if you're running a skydive outfit you have a fixed location you operate from, so it's odd to see her getting around as much as she seems to (she has a bit of a fan following, so if you look her up on google you can see pictures of her at a bunch of airports)
Anyways, there you go, now you know what that is, and kudos to Orbx for adding it, that's cool!
Thanks for the specific info on the aircraft herself, I did know it's a sky van, little sister of the 330 and 360. Certainly a wild scheme!
@@AvAngel No worries, and yeah, the paint scheme on her is cool! As is that on her consorts, one of them is painted like something from finding Nemo!
Love this airfield!
AvAngel, have you taken the "Vertigo" out for a little spin yet hahahahahahaha???
damn i just cant get over how amazing this new flight sim looks
Yeah its truly beautiful... once a year is past, and the last little kinks are cleared out, and a whole market of DLC scenery and aircraft and addons are out, it will be just... nothing could compare.
@@AvAngel Very, very true. The only next step i could think of would be a VR system. Unless it already supports that somewhere.
Btw how many extras do you have other than the hotas that you fly with?
I use a yoke throttle and rudder pedals myself, along with the Garmin pilot app on my iPad, oh and vr is incoming
@@AvAngel Vr is incoming?..Awesome! and on your iPad i though it was a separate unit you hooked up to the computer somehow lol that's really cool that it's an app
@@HellFireAlliance Not quite yet but they have begun BETA testing with a group of testers for VR, I expect come January or so then VR will be implemented.
Great flight, perfect accompaniment to a lazy morning with a nice cup of tea!! The sky van is true oh wild. Check out OE-FDI as a google search. Good work on the video, thank you
