    In the Netherlands (still in Europe), the cheapest model 3 is €40.990, the same as in Germany. In Switzerland the model 3 is £36.300
    You cant say "in France it costs X so in Europe it is also X". We are not in the £20k to £25k range.
    There are more countries in Europe than just France and Norway, thou the UK is indeed high up in the prices.

    Dave Dave Dave, please do not just take the initial value of the price on the website and you need to click further to have the country specific taxes applied, that makes the On The Road OTR price of vehicle way more expensive in some instances. Just using your example of Tesla Singapore, there is an Additional Registration Fee applicable that makes the cost almost double of the list price of $61,392SGD ARF considering the list price on the base Model 3 is $69,300 SGD. There are subsidies that can be applied but for someone to purchase a base Model 3 in Singapore, the actual lowest OTR price is $93,172 SGD, which converted to GBP is approximately £54,270. Therefore your video is very misleading and to currently buy a base Model 3 in Singapore is actually £14,271 GBP more than the cost of one in the UK.

    the US price is incorrect - first us prices never include state and federal taxes so you have to put that on top + it already includes "estimated fuel saving" and might also include the 7.5k gov grant if that is applicable for that model so pretty much all of that US costs is incorrect.

    • @istar1307
      @istar1307 Před 7 dny +2

      new model 3 cost 39k + about 6% tax so about 41,3k then you can take of 7.5k for federal grant and another 1.5k for state grant, so the final price comes to 32,3k USD so about 25.5k GBP - also not all cars that Tesla sells in US can claim the 7.5k grant, so need to be careful with stating it as a fact - model 3 RWD can but LR and performance can't - not until the batteries for those are manufactured in US or mexico

If you un-click the box (includes fuel savings) and you start the order process you will see the price of the basic Model 3 is $40,630 and on top of that you need to add the Sales tax (7%, $2,844). For a total price of $43,475 - $7,500 = $35,975. Still low that in the UK primary driven due differences in Sales Tax (7%) vs VAT (20%), Tariff 10%, etc.

    @10:15 Again Tesla is fooling people. The real price is actually 355k NOK due to som added fees. 2400 NOK for the scrap deposit and over 16k NOK in weight tax. So its more like 26k GBP if converted.
