Helen is my favorite place to go in Georgia after Savannah. Since Helen is closer to me, I make many more trips there. A friend had a chalet there in the mountains, and my two sons grew up going there, and both are in their 40s now. For years I rode my motorcycle there, but at my age now I ride in my new compact SUV. The traffic has now made visiting the downtown less desirable, but the Unicoi Lodge is still my favorite place to eat breakfast. I have wanted to move to the greater Helen area, but my wife likes the big city more.
Thanks for watching! Sounds like you have some great memories there. We agree, the traffic is a bit crazy, especially in the fall, but we still enjoy visiting.
I got about 5 minutes in to the video and paused it so I could book a trip to Helen. We went for Christmas and it was so pretty. We took our family photos on Christmas Day and there were not very many people out. But it was packed on the 26th and I made a video of it that I will upload later. We took the kids to Alpine mini golf and they enjoyed the course. We also did the mountain coaster. My daughter was terrified but my son thought it was cool. My husband that doesn't ride regular roller coasters was not phased by this. So if there is anyone out there nervous about it just know you can control the speed and it's not that scary.
Really enjoyed this particular video of yours, thank you 🙏🏻 we go right by the Tallulah Gorge to our place in NC, but have never stopped . Was this filmed recently ? If so, the fall foliage is still so beautiful 🤩
Thank you, and appreciate you watching! We drive right by it as well, heading to our home in Maggie Valley when adventuring down in Georgia. This was recorded in mid-November. The colors were very pretty, but very late as well.
Hi - It's about 3 miles roundtrip all the way down, but you don't have to go that far to see the falls, maybe 1.5-2 miles roundtrip. There are a lot of stairs. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching - Not a place we would go often, but we enjoyed our visit and see it for the first time. Definitely prefer it over many other "tourism towns".
So beautiful!! Georgia si fantastic!!They color of they trees, they fall.👍👍💓🙏🙏🙏🇨🇴

We went for Christmas and the leaves had already fallen. Still pretty with the lights every where though.
I have rode mountain coasters in Pigeon Forge, but can’t wait to try this one.
We really enjoyed it, very smooth, with a fast descent. Right there in town too, so you can walk to it, which is nice. Thanks for watching!
Wasn't complete!!
How long is the walk to the Falls?

What month was this? It looks so pretty
Hi, thanks for watching. This was in October.
@@Blueridgemountainlife thank you 😊 do you think there would still be color left in the first week of November?
@@brittchanel_j Yes, there should be.
Beautiful landscape but Helen is nothing but a tourist trap.

I'm sorry we're not sure how to answer your question. We don't pay attention to things like that.
Not impressed with your video. Hop, skip and jump all around, not being complete on anything! I give you a thumbs DOWN!!!
Thanks for the view and feedback!
