    Great video Jamie very helpful. I’m a Lancastrian but I lived in Bradford for 14 years so I picked up most of the lingo 😂 Cheers pal.

    Good video Jamie. Just a bit off a pass on re the top wheel blade position. I am a Titan owner too. I stumbled across an expert in bandsaws (Alex Snodgrass), on the Wood Whisperer CZcams channel. He reckons the gullet of the blade should be centred on the top wheel. Not so important on the bottom wheel. Check it out Jamie. It helped me get better cuts mate. Merry Christmas🍺

      A lot of people like the Snodgrass video, but when i had my first bandsaw, I found Matt Eastlea's version much easier to follow.

      Not sure if it's a coincidence or a clever CZcams algorithm trick, but that exact video was next in the play queue after this one. Great video.

    Great no nonsense video, how do I stop the blade on my titan band saw from twisting when I try to cut a curve?

    • @jamiesworkshopprojects1617
      @jamiesworkshopprojects1617  Před 3 lety

      Hi Daniel, thanks for your comment :) Twisting usually happens when you just rotate the workpiece. Try feeding it through the blade at the same time as rotating

    Cheers bro.. Just sub'd to ur channel my friend.. I have just bought me a loada TITAN shite mate.. I got the table saw, the Planer Thicknesser and I was going to get the band saw but for some reason I didn't feel it but after watching a couple of videos from u and another English lad on here I'm going to plump for this one too. The Table saw is a bit of a pig tbf. The table is not level in one corner but I couldn't be arsed to take it back. I'm gonna have a shufty round inside and have a butchers to see if there are any bolts underneath that I can move it with. It's the left front corner of the table that's off by a few mil but if it can't be sorted then I'm gonna take it off and put my own top on it anyways..
    If anybody in the comments has had this trouble and changed their tops could u let me know how it went?? Nice one for the video lad. I was looking at getting a Grizzly from the US but trying to get those Yankers to send one to me is right hard work. I found a manufacturer here in IRELAND but they want both arms and legs for one.. Yeah I'm not paying 4-5 grand for one for me garage.. Every junkie in the town will be after it although they'll have to rob a feckin' truck 1st to be able to carry the fcuker.. LMAO..
    Anyways bro I enjoyed the video and sub'd as I said. I'm in the process of kitting out me garage for a workshop. I can't wait man. I'll finally have a place to make enough noise so the little bastds cannot be heard anymore. Locks on the front and back door. Switch on the machines and bang a couple of hookers for fun and games.. oh and I'll be doin' the odd bitta woodworking as well .. Laters pal,,

      Out of the Titan tools I have I think the bandsaw is my favourite. I upgraded from the Titan table saw last year and haven’t looked back

    Does it cut a good straight line? and also at a 45 degree tilt? I just want to make shelves and I can't cut a straight line for the life of me lol

    Do you know what the maximum width blade can be fitted?

    • @tonyf68
      @tonyf68 Před 2 lety +1

      I think the maximum is 10mm, according to the search facility on Axminster's website.

  • @paulround8501

    The blade that comes with this saw is useless, it doesn't have any set on the teeth so just waders about all over during a cut. It is also so thin any pressure on the blade causes it to bend so it won't cut straight in anything but the thinnest stock. Replacement blade is a must, I get mine from TuffSaws who are pretty much exactly the same price as the blades you are using here.

    • @jamiesworkshopprojects1617
      @jamiesworkshopprojects1617  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the info on TuffSaws! Agreed, the replacement blade is a must and is still cutting straight. Also sorry for the late reply btw

      @tonyf68 Před 2 lety

      I've just ordered a blade from TuffSaws as well, should be here soon. Which width do you use, 6mm or 10mm?

      @@jamiesworkshopprojects1617 I'm a huge fan of Tuffsaws blades, too. I use them on both of my bandsaws.

    sorry but what do you mean with "you have to adjust this" or "these"? Your blade seems to be off centre. there are a few very good videos on YT of how to adjust the bearings (see my first question), line up the blade (indent of the deep part of the blade at the middle of the rubber track), and advice how tight the blade has to be in ration to the bearings (back and forth movements). Aligning the guides (left and right movement) has to be so that it never touches the blade when running and not cutting should never touch any bearings or guides.
