- Starting out with nothing on the Earth-like planet Kepler-442 b. See the series trailer for the introduction! As an employee of Exploration Adventure Enterprises, I was tasked to build space tourism facilities in the system. Unfortunately, I was shot down and crashed to the planet surface. No starter tools, no starter ship, just the suit on my back. Can I survive, build the facilities required by my employer and make it back home - all while fighting off reavers and pirates? Let's play Space Engineers!
I've played space engineers since 2015 and just tipped over 3000 hours. I've always dreamed of making a series on this. Someday I would like to make an all cinematic series, but that is something for later.

By holding Alt, you can look up and down while on a ladder. Also, generally, the trade stations have 4 different inventories for the stores that cycle, so the drill will come back.
I didn’t know the alt key looking worked in ladders. That makes so much more sense!

Haha, because I’m stupid and don’t want to try to remember the periodic table. 😆 Joking aside, for me, it’s much easier to use the first letters of the resources.

Good way to save fuel in flight is to get to max speed and then turn off dampeners (Z, make triangle red) instead of turning off the primary propulsion device (in this case jetpack). This way you can continue to fly at max speed and just maintain altitude by tapping jump button at certain rythm to counteract gravity effect. Once near destination - turn on dampeners in time to slow you down before the collision with building or a ground, which is less important with jetpack, but critical with other flyers.
Interesting method. I’ll have to test it out!

Ah, good question! I need to explain my thinking more. I probably should have bought it but i didn’t because I was anxious about having enough credits for hydrogen and enough to be able to buy a grinder if it showed up in the store. If I try to make it to the next station, I will also need to buy power cells if I make the trek out. The drill would have used up more than half of my money at the time. Also, I thought it would stay in the store longer and I would have the option to buy it later when I had more money.
I had the same question. With that you could have mined ores and sold them, so it wouldn't matter if it was your last credit.
Yeah, I thought about that too, but without the option to buy components or ships at that station, money wasn’t going to do me much good at the moment. And I would need to find silver or gold because that was all they were buying at the time. Unless I was lucky to find a quest for a more common ore I guess.
did you ever look into those lockers, the ones straight ahead when you first enter that trade building? you can also check all inventories at the same time (on the right hand side inventory) when you click from helmet icon to container icon, make sure to click it back again.
If I understand which ones you are referring to, they are locked and I can’t access them. Good point with the switching inventories. Now I’m curious if I switched and forgot to switch back while checking lockers…
Are beds actually working to skip the night in single player?
No, not really. I am just skipping the night with the Admin tools because I know it’s hard to see videos at night on CZcams. Just trying to maintain the illusion. 😆 Thanks for watching!

u do know the drill has an ore detector in it? but u have to be holding it. u have to because u cannt be new to this game. wtf? u one of those people who like doing everything the hard way?
Haha. I really wasn’t trying to make it harder than it already is. I started with nothing so for most of the first episode I didn’t have a drill. And once I got it, the types of ore that were useful to me were limited so I was focused more on learning what was around to make a plan.
