According to me BJP is in a better position then 2019, one of the main reason, opposition is very weak, 2019 opposition was stronger, only place BJP is doubtful of performing like last time is Maharashtra, that said 28 seats which BJP is contesting , 25 is sure, 30 seats In Maharastra for NDA is almost sure, opposition if it gets 18 seats they will consider it has success, if NDA wins 40, they will be happy.
Then we should not have election if you consider bjp will win. Why waste 1.2 trillion ₹. So just wait and watch.

Bjp came close to a majority in 2014 no small achievement considering it was very much a junior partner for all the time. Now it is the largest party in the state. Uddhav Thackeray negated Bala Saheb's principles, ideology & legacy: Uddhav joined Congress party to grab undeserving CM's post (he didn't contest election but was catapulted as MLC) & fell into the trap laid by Sharad Pawar.
Seeing Uddhav's burning desire to become CM & his rookie son's urge to become Minister both NCP & Congress hijacked most of Ministerial posts leaving senior Shiv Sena leaders, who had struggled life-long, stranded without power & blushing their eyes. The son was given insignificant Tourism portfolio. Both father & son duo grabbed power at the cost of Shiv Sena's ideology & rights of hard-working grass root leaders. Shiv Sena naturally broke up.

I have just seen trailer and I am commenting even before seeing the whole analysis because I know that Joshi guy very well.. he is extremely biased and never spoke in favour of BJP. I have seen his coverage in 2019 when Fadnavis formed govt for 3 days and then Shiv Sena went to Congress and NCP. He fully supported Maha Vikas Aghadi govt.

The flaw in Sahil's argument about voteshare that bjp voteshare cannot grow more than 30% is - it is in a fluid state , not static. Older generation had fixed and rigid prefernces. Younger generation is more skewed towards bjp. There is slow and steady structural shift towards bjp. It is the case in MH also. So , in 10 years time, 30 % voteshare of bjp would have grown to 33 to 35%. Add a modi premium of 5 to 7%. Plus Sginde sena is with nda , and a section of NCP. And minority population unlikely to vote for shivsena, and i wouldn't be surprised they vote nota or abstain. That takes way apprx 5 % voteshare of mva. And they have a concentrated population.
I think nda will have 35 to 40 seats in MH with 50 to 55% votes.

When the elections began, the question was 'Will BJP cross 400?'. The question has now changed to "Who will win?". That's a positive development. Opposition is the lifeblood of democracy.
Not sure if it's just me, but this so called journalist sounds so one sided..he is ignoring all the games shiv sena played after winning the elections. He is recalling what Dev Fad said about Pawar but comfortably ignoring what Shiv sena has been calling Pawar, congress and Sonia..
Oh, he _did_ mention it but also said that the MVA was able to get the time to tell people how they have done the right thing (2 and a half years), due to which Uddhav Thackeray has been able to generate enough sympathy for himself.

For his information there was election in 1999 because of Sonia Gandhi, Jayalalitha and Giridhar Gomango where Vajpayee lost by one vote.
