You need to go to the smoke pit in Concord NC and ask for extra BBQ you will freak out how good and fresh it is there is a stock market right next door with a butcher and they use the meat straight from there lol the best BBQ I've ever had

If you go to Wilm. again, try Jackson’s Big Oak BBQ. It’s where the locals go. Smithfield’s is good too, great place.
When in Raleigh again, try Ole Time BBQ. I choose there over The Pit because of true authenticity over hype. Add both to your lists.

@@AdamandMadalyn Jacksons is where the locals used to go. No longer the case. Skip it and go to Casey's Buffett, it doesn't look like much, but it's good southern cooking.

Yep, you nailed it with the whole hog in eastern NC.. 'everything but the squeal' as they say :| Lauren and I are both from NC and we think it's the best BBQ on the planet. Props for getting the brunswick stew, love it! Totally agree The Pit is soooo good! Also if you're ever in Wilson, check out Parkers BBQ if you haven't yet.
    Great video guys!

Thanks for the suggestion! We go to North Carolina every few years and absolutely love the whole state. We've hit up other spots in the past like Lexingtons. Looked up Parkers on Yelp and bookmarked it. Looks up our alley. Next time were in NC we want to go to the Outer Banks so maybe we could swing through. I do think NC does the best pulled pork in the planet!
