tbf, both Sonic Frontiers and this show are probably cribbing it from Piccolo's defeat in the OG Dragon Ball

They are insanely similar, the powers coming from crystals (the chaos emeralds and the blue gem), the power constantly draining them (Sonic constantly losing rings and Anne constantly losing stamina), And Sonic’s cyloop picking up Knight’s sword is strangely like how Anne can control her sword. And yes, they both fought entire moons.

Fun fact: amphibia references sonic a lot, the big rock thing crashing into amphibia is like sa2 final boss and much more is referenced

I stupidly found this Scene similar to Deku Vs Overhaul in S4 mainly because of backgrounds and the overall scene but yeah. This makes it more powerful as well.

Pay attention to the lyrics too, I think a lot of the correlation fits with Anne saying this to Andrias:

And it shows in the correlation between Andrias’s own past and Anne’s experience in standing up for herself with Sasha’s manipulation.
The funny thing is, this song came from freaking SONIC, and had nothing to do with this, so the fact it fits so well is just a moment of

A LOT HAPPENED DUDE, S2 AND S3 GO INSANEEE, WATCH IT TO FIND OUT, IT'S SUCH A GREAT SHOW!! It starts off slow, but trust me, the payoff is worth it! Even the S1 finale has this epic sword battle, emotional moments, and high stakes!
Long story short, things went from episodic sitcom to Shonen anime. I'd say more, but then I'd be spoiling things for you.
