      Not sure yet, but AJ will be a stud in a year or two running that offense. He most definitely should be learning a thing or two from Dame Dolla and Giannis. And Doc better play these 2 earlier for the development and give Marjon more minutes this damn season.

      @@barrettsbucksbreakdown2446he’s saying the game is different because of that, so your traditional guys aren’t the same value in these systems, i.e. Andrew Bogut as amazing as he was would not be a top 3 pick today probably and not because he doesn’t deserve to be just because it’s different play. This is why a lot of guys sound dumb af “guh durrr Brook Lopez sucks derrrr” yeah and find me another true-center-bodied 7 footer who is top 2 in blocks and in the DPoY convo every single year for the last half decade AND can shoot logo 3s at a reliable enough clip for defenses to be forced to respect. But no yall just want any big even if they aren’t 7ft even if they are skinny even if they couldn’t hit a 3 to save their family or you want some slasher with no pass vision that is mediocre from 3 when the star of our team is a guy who has defenses building walls in the paint. Yeah let’s crowd that even more, that makes sense. Yall hate the 1st round pick like yall hated giannis getting picked (or are bandwagons) last time the Bucks drafted a skinny teenage guard out of California who played a season overseas it panned out pretty well and I’m guessing most people didn’t like that pick either. They already don’t have picks in the future and you want them to reach for a “ready now” guy who won’t even get minutes anyways. Just dumb all around

      @@barrettsbucksbreakdown2446 yea, those players have carried us still, & were not acquired by him. And for 3 yrs of Jrue + his ts% of 48 in the playoffs, we dealt 4 1sts. 3 more for Dame. 4 yrs haven't produced much & we're the Pistons for a decade if we run this core to the end. Johnson gives us a little hope to keep it going, but unnecessary swing w/ Shannon there. Smith doesn't have core upside.

      I don’t think people hate on Horst.. He rolled the dice with Lillard which I liked and think will pay off even more next year. I do think they need to trade Middleton, and Pat C.

    Tyler Smith was supposed too be a first round pick. The reason he doesnt have good stats is because he broke out halway through the season. Too average 12 points per game, 37 from 3 and a block per game and .09 steals per game. Hes a both end player whos only 19. Thats a steal but we need too actually develop

  • @mitchstaff8281
    @mitchstaff8281 Před 3 dny +1

    I'm pretty sure they see AJ as a point guard. IMO Lopez just doesn't fit, and Middleton needs to come off the bench. His D is not starting caliber and they need the scoring on the 2nd unit.

  • @mrawesome7175
    @mrawesome7175 Před 2 dny

    Tyler is good enough to start. Giannis need to be at the 5, he is more than good enough. Smith spaces the floor. They just need a perimeter defensive guard. I think if they should should try and get Josh Green from the Mavs in exchange for Portis jr. Have Lopez be a 6th man. Lopez can have the same impact as horford did for the Celtics.

  • @frankleyJ
    @frankleyJ Před 3 dny +1

    I definitely like the second pick better. The big board had their two picks as the 35th and 34th best players, but when it comes to value, the second pick was way better. But neither pick was good. This is an old, unathletic roster and they get guys that might help in 3-4 years? Absolute joke. Does absolutely nothing to help this aging roster in 2024/25. These are picks you make in a rebuild.

    The division has a lot of point guards that are pretty fast right now
    the bucks can't really compete with these fast point guards
    so that was the reason they drafted AJ
    and his potential to be a MJ clone

      He was off the board but if ya mean in the first round, I actually slightly prefer Smith. As a Duke fan, Filipowski doesn’t shoot 3s well, is kinda slow and doesn’t protect the rim. Doesn’t solve anything.

      @bernman23 Před 3 dny

      @@frankleyJ I'd have drafted Shannon, who has core upside & is NBA ready. But most fans are worse than Horst when they argue the old core should be kept together AND they should just draft win nows in the draft w/out respect to if they have core upside to replace Dame or Khris in a couple yrs. Setting us up to be Detroit for a decade w/ the pick concessions thru '30. At least he drafted a guy in the 1st rd w/ star potential.

    • @frankleyJ
      @frankleyJ Před 3 dny

      @bernman23 Dame and giannis are the only 2 players on the roster worth a damn. If they are "the core" I'd keep them, but no one else. I don't like the win now mentality, but that's the position the team has been put in. I like the packers approach. If they had drafted these guys 3-4 years ago, that'd be awesome. Not now

  • @Jesusbeliever1
    @Jesusbeliever1 Před 2 dny

    Middleton needs to be traded for a young talented player on team that needs a vet. Lopez too slow and needs to come off the bench or be traded. They were the weak links apart from Dame who just shoots 3s, maybe trade him too. Bucks too old and need to get young and athletic to even have a chance against Boston or the Pacers. Both of those teams have a good mix of young and veteran players AT THE RIGHT positions.

    Not sure I can say "Much Better Pick" If this kid AJ puts on a little bit more weight/muscle, he'll be the better guy between the 2 picks. Either way, these 2 guys wont get developed properly or playing time as long as Doc is the coach. Ajax definitely needed more run time and Doc refused when we just looked old and slow vs the pacers... fun question, What player under Docs coaching has he ever turned into a star, that was not already a star via trades? Legit Allstar, not role players 😅

      @@barrettsbucksbreakdown2446 Then u say the kid could learn something from Dame. When Dame can't even learn how to point guard the ball with Giannis on the floor where we depending on Khris Middleton and Patrick Beverley for our playmaking and order to get our team some what running like a team. These draft picks wasn't never going to change the damage of our team. They just patch up a few small holes in our armour. So to be getting mad at something as little as the draft picks which is late picks anyways is ridiculous. Our problem is Dame and thinking we can win games with a player who don't fit and is a walking liability of defense and playmaking.
