The reason soul sand broke the gravel is that soul sand is not a full block. Itâs actually a 1/12 shorter than blocks

Eystreem, the reason the gravel breaks when it falls on soulsand is because it technically isn't a full block, so in theory, the same thing would apply to sand and other gravity blocks and items
and if you stand on soul sand and beside the soul sand is lava even if you shift on the soul sand you will still take damage

The reason why soul sand can break gravel (or sand) is because soul sand is not a full block. It is slightly smaller than a full block (like stone, wood, etc.)

my button is hooked up to a redstone signal that activates a note block playing sound that activate a sculk sensor and activate a repeater to a command block that executes for sand to destroy. then, i hook the redstone dust up to a chain command block with a repeater and another chain block testing for sand that touching my pressure plate. i lastly hook the signal up to the button and it breaks the s- oh
fun fact:in Minecraft bedrock if u put whater in the nether with comands it will turn red or maybe only in red biome thing
Mobs burn on cowbweb BUT they don't burn if it's say time but they have a cobweb room over them, so it kinda like blocks sunlight like any other solid block

I think the soulsand breaks the gravel because the souls trapped inside is actually breaking the gravel.
What I thought for the bucket of Axolotl Was It was a block of coal re-textured and named bucket of axolotl
It makes sense why soul sand can float. Because if there are souls and they can float, and they are in a block, the would make the block levitate.
Break a skull in Minecraft youâll notice it has the same particles as breaking souls sand
