I remember watching the DVD commentary for this episode (not many of the DVDs had them; I don't think Kiernan or Hemphill liked doing them much). They mentioned that by the end of the breakfast scene, the plates sitting on top of the cooker were red hot. You can see when Jack picks them up at 3:54 that he's shuffling his fingers around, trying to balance them on each other etc. because they're burning his hands and he didn't want to ruin the one big take.
It not even a gag, just a line, and yes, it's a great line, one of Eric's best. Although the image of Eric "pumping" behind Barbara and Edith is as clear as ever.
"Buntin" is indeed a great episode. Lots going on, not a moment wasted. I've seen it many times, but this time I'm seeing the brilliance of the cinematography! Every shot is perfect.
I am so glad I was introduced to Still Game 1 of the greatest comedies ever. Still always watching it brilliant actors. All the characters are bang on 😂😂😂

However , unfortunately some had that awful mullet hairdo ( like what Bobby was sporting in his 80' s flashback scene ) , thankfully very few had that hairdo . He had the fashion spot on though lol 😂
