This is the VERY BEST video I've watched on how to add variable products. The speaker explains everything in a clear voice and does not rush through; the information given was concise. He also brought out a point that explained why my product showed up as being "out of stock," when it wasn't. This is exactly what I was looking for, and I am thrilled because I can now successfully add the variable products to my e-commerce site without a problem! How do you make 2 dropdown menus? I am currently making webshop which is selling towbars and i need one dropdown menu for car maker and the car model (and I have more then 100 different car makers and a lot of models)

Thanks for the video. I was having a problem trying to figure out how to create my ala cart menu for my consumer. ten proteins to choose from each protein comes with a choice of 2 sides out of 14. I didnt figure out how to give these sides away free but ill just create two variations one starch and one vegetable and have the customer pick. It seems to be the best solution other than have a custom built php to function how i need.

Thanks so much for this! I have a small issue. When choosing my variations, some of which are a yes/no, the price changes when yes is chosen, but the box still shows no as the choice. Any ideas on how to fix that? Thanks again!
Awesome video, thank you. I wonder how we would change the IMAGE for each product. Say you had a 20 variations of a product like color, size, and so on. Instead of having to list 20 images on a single page when they click say BROWN variation on color it would only show the BROWN shirt type of thing instead of the 20 images.

Hi Video is great. I am having trouble setting the Word "Size" next to the "Choose an Option" drop down list. Can anyone help? The options are there and working. The only thing that is missing is the actually word "Size". Thank you.

Hey greg, great video and tip. Question is it possible to have the image change when an item is changed on the dropdown, say chocolate and a image with chocolate bar, orange and a picture of an orange etc...

Greg - great informative video - thank you for posting! Question: I am creating variables in sizes - for the LIFE of me, I cannot get them to show in the dropdown the way that I am creating them. 18X24, 13X18, 8.5X11... 13X18 ALWAYS shows up first - regardless. Any thoughts on how to fix that? Even dragging them in the admin to reorder them doesn't change it on the page. Very frustrating.

Thanks for the vid! You just got a like, comment & subscribe because I was able to add a drop down menu thanks to your vid! Two months ago I was disappointed because my Fiverr web designer couldn't complete my new website due the the "rona" in their country. BUT....thanks to CZcamsrs like you I was able to not only finish my site myself last month, but I built my uncles site from scratch too! And now......now.....I got drop down menus! lol Thanks again!

I see from your tutorial that there is also an option to edit shipping class for each item in the dropdown or leave it same as the parent.
I have spent hours trying to find out this information, not knowing how to word the question for google to give me an answer.
You have saved me a huge headache since not knowing this info held me back from knowing how to displayu all my products.

Hi There, Great tutorial. I have way more than 50 variations any idea how I can add them all. Basically, I need the products to be listed Eg. Product Name: Female Fragrances, The the Attributes: 1.) Frangrances eg 212, DKNY etc and 2.) Size: eg 5ml, 10ml, 50ml etc.

Hey thanks for the video! Mine isn't working. I did what you did, but now it's still showing that it's unavailable and out of stock. Also, the drop down never appeared on site. Instead it added all my scent variables under "additional information." They are just listed in a sentence form, not a drop down.

Hi Greg, the video is great my problem is coming when we try to make appear this information about the variable product in the seller dashboard as our marketplace is a platform with independent sellers. I did exactly the same than you with the sizes of a bracelet. But then when the buyer chooses the size this information is appearing in my dashboard but not in the seller dashboard or email order. can u show a video how to make a product that is customizable and that adds each feature to the cart as its customized? lets say i have a pizza and it starts as a basic pizza (cheese, sauce) and it starts at 8.99. now i want to add features like pepperoni and olives and each has its own price. i understand how to make a product and variables but i cant seem to set a base price and get the variables to have their own price also.

little bit out of date as its different now but it has helped get things happening,
would be great to do a more up to date one as it took a bit to try and work out how to add 2 drop downs and depending on option on the second drop down will vary the price
now next trick is to try and work out how to let the customer add a note or message when placing order
