- The Emergency Period during Indira Gandhi regime is often regarded as dark days of Indian Democracy. But what was the actual reason behind Indira Gandhi proclaiming the emergency of 1975? In this mini-documentary, I go in depth to explain the root causes and reasons behind it. Starting from 1969 and the infamous battle between the legislative and judiciary to pass the privy purse laws and the nationalisation of banks laws.

I retired from Central service Gr A 15yrs ago. Worked during emergency in the regime of IG. I remember it was truly best time. We rather enjoyed disciplined service with highest efficiency. Judiciary should definitely be more powerful because at once legislature can think of their own benefit but Judiciary is a voice of common people and to keep check whether the government is violating rights common people so Judiciary should take care of it
No judiciary in India is full of nepotism...and that's why judicial reforms which is a very important is being always delayed.... There is more checks on legislation like press, people's protest, elections...but no checks on judiciary...so I don't think we should make judiciary more powerful than legislative...both must be equally important..

The NCERT books are soo well developed keeping in mind the psychology of students of the that particular age...the unfortunate thing is that there are not teachers intrested enough in trying to take advantage of it... instead of only completing their syllabus.
I would really appreciate if make a video on post emergency economic policies of PM Indra Gandhi. On online websites sometimes it get too complicated. It's easier to understand in your own language, rather than in any other language. You are doing a really commendable job by telling about these topic, most of the people don't know about them. I think judiciary must be the strongest in any country because it works for delivering justic to each and every citizen of this country.
Judiciary has to be independent in making decisions but it has to be responsible for providing detailed information about its decisions which should make sense and must be beneficiary for the country as a whole

This term Internal Disturbance was later replaced by "Armed Rebellion" by 44th Constitutional Amendment Act, 1978, as it was too vague and had a wider connotation.
