Very insightful and intriguing. It was interesting to see the spices being made into a seasoning. I also had a personal discovery on vellum paper. I did not know is was called that. So nice! 👏

I'm fairly new to bird hunting in general, especially pigeons. I've cooked a few dove and pigeon on my bbq pit, and so far, so good. But is anyone else concerned about worms, parasites, etc. Does the cooking kill all that? Thanks for your input to all who respond. 🙏🏼
Parasites will not survive the heat of cooking. They would simply add to the nutritional value and flavour of the meat.
Are you concerned about worms, parasites when you eat chickens? They are literally the same.

Furthermore, no chicken is checked and monitored before eating in rural area and it is okay to eat. Obviously, you are living in city.

I disagree with people who are accusing him on eating pigeon. As long as you eat meat, you are directly/ indirectly killing animals. There is no different cruelty when you eat pigeon and other animals. Animal lives are equal, 1pigeon life = 1 chicken/ cow/ pig/ dog life. They are all in the food chain. Unless, that animal is raised as pet.

I had no idea pigeons were edible. I was taught they were the “rats” of the bird 🐦 world. Although, I don’t anticipate eating pigeon in the future, I definitely learned something new today. Thank you for sharing.

These pigeons are not only edible and clean, but a breed of pigeon called Homers.

Pigeons and especially this kind.. Are proper rats, they eat anything, and if there is a rubbish they hang there and eat rotten food out of it.. You can eat the ones you grow at home or in farms but definitely not the wild ones

You wouldn’t be able to tell when to pull it out, as it’s roasting in the paper. There’s no visual cues.

Pigeons and doves do taste quite good...I have eaten both before...it is dark meat and more juicy and flavorful than white meat like that of a chicken

Better than chickens,these bird get to fly into the sky and they like going back to the place they are kept so it is very rare for them to run away.then when the time is right we butcher them a cook them,tasted it before and they taste like chicken but better
