  • The underprivileged people in the rest of the World miss out on one of the best breakfast condiments which those of us lucky enough to live in our Australian Paradise take for granted as our Birthright. Then, when the lucky few get the opportunity to eat our wonderful black goo, they make all sorts of faces and rude comments. They are doing it all wrong...

Knowing he likes Marmite, she made him up a bunch of Marmite butties. Around lunch time, he rang the house and asked to speak to her. He was coughing and chocking a bit like he'd just inhaled his tea rather than swallowing it. Turns out she had layered the Marmite on like it was jam, lol. • @AndrewFishman
      @AndrewFishman  Před 5 lety

      A few people have asked about it in streams which is why I did this video. Some have tried it and hated it because they lather it on thickly, others thought it just a myth. So I figured, make a video of how to do it proper like.
      Why the toast and not a sanga? Only because it was breakfast and I was having toast. Is awesome as a sandwich (vegemite sangas get millions of Aussies through school and work days).
      No need to fear running out, There is a heap left in the jar, considering how little is used in in a sitting, and htere is another jar in the cupboard also.

    Have to disagree mate.
    1. It must be butter, butters taste amplifies the vegimite, marg... well no. lol
    2. Must be done ASAP, get the butter on quick and thick, as it starts to melt you then use the butter to help spread the V-mite.

      I am not a huge fan of marg either, that was an olive oil spread ;) I won't tell if you don't tell. As a kid I was allergic to lactose, so never really developed a taste for dairy. I do not eat cheese except on pizza, do not drink milk and rarely eat butter. I no longer puke it up immediately like I did when I was little, but I just cannot stomach the taste now. And the slimy feel in the back of the throat uggghhhhh!

    Since it's only really palatable with butter, does it really matter it contains B vitamins? Butter and toast is indulgent as it is. I could understand if you eat it alone on dry toast, but most find the taste...unsettling.

      People don't eat it for the nutritional content.

      ialways use the vegemite knife to spread my next slice with honey. Vegemite remnants is enough to offset the honey nicely :) I might try it just a straight up mix one day. Good plan, thanks. :)

    Why is such a small plate, get butter on the bottom of your toast and scrape the crap out of your toast?

  • @AustinTheWeenieTickler

    Vegemite literally tastes like the bread itself 💀

    No, no NOOO..
    I applaud the hot toast straight from the toaster. BUT. are you gonna put some Vegemite on that Vegemite? You have enough Vegemite to make an American happy, if ya want to show how Aussie you are, then slather that Vegemite on, nice and thick now.. c'mon mate. you know you can do better...
