About one hundred art works of Giorgio Morandi are exhibited at Iwate museum in Morioka, Japan now. Many Japanese visit it and are greatly impressed. I am among them,of course. The theme of his painting is mainly focused on depicting concrete,
familiar objects. However, I feel something highly abstract in them.
