The problem some counterfeit now becoming more advanced and they make it exact replica of DENSO...we are almost helpless sometimes ...why not DENSO sell directly online in each every country with DENSO certified ...all the counterfeit will die at all once...

As a retired OEM parts supplier myself let me shed light here.
Main reason most suppliers don't sell direct is parts will disapear from all the parts distributors shelves.
Because, why would you stock items you can't sell cause customers buy direct?
Then the first time you need a radiator, starter, alt etc asap to get to work tomorrow & you lose your job the third day because your parts not on your doorstep, who will you blame for it all? How pissed will you be because your home was repoed over losing that job all because parts stores don't stock your part, or their gone?
We can wait for some parts, eventually parts stores will go as more people buy online anyway. But until then, we better support them more so they are there when we need them.
      Peace

@@harryballz6358 I paid once from EBay years ago and I believe those plugs were legit from MGK because I drove the vehicle until it reached 200k. My friend held a fake and a real ones and I was hardly noticed the differences. They are all exactly the same to me. They were not any close as this video.
I also purchase plugs from OEM Honda online, and I don't think they sell fake plugs. But, those plugs they don't look 100% as in those videos at all.
I believe, those Honda online don't intend to sell counterfeit products, unless they want to be out of business!

Ohm test the plugs, counterfeits will not be within the 5-10,000 ohms that they are supposed to be.

@@donniev8181 Sorry the Ohm test will not work. Some counterfeit does show the range between 4-5kOhms.

First, thank you because it is the first video that has a very good and detailed explanation, really, thank you very much, very good.
And second, I'm going to make a comment that nobody makes, about spark plugs, timing chains, fuel filters, etc. The changes of these articles are based, very wrongly in my opinion, on KM traveled, eg: change the spark plugs every 40,000 km o miles , the distribution chain every 100,000, this is wrong.
    And I explain why.
In cities like Bogota, Buenos Aires, Caracas and I could name many more, one can take hours with the engine running to travel only 30 KM, due to traffic jams, etc.. If this is your case even if the car does not travel many KM, the engine if they are on, with their spark plugs generating spark, with their distribution chain turning, etc. . For these cases, do not be guided by the number of KM traveled because it is a false unit of measure that does not represent the real wear of the spark plugs and these parts. I think it's a very important point that no one talks about in the videos.
Moreover, I believe that cars should have a timer or timer that shows how long the engine is running and according to that one should make changes to these products.

I recently purchased from ebay thinking they were genuine toyota denso plugs after only 2 weeks 1 cylinder started misfiring. Immediately I knew something's not right cause my original ones lasted years and 100K miles. I took the plug out and you can tell right away it's off. Had to go to the dealership and buy 6 more of these and do the spark plug replacement all over again. What a waste of time and money.

I bought a denso AC condenser and radiator from their authorized dealer, and BOTH were made in china. It was a somewhat red flag but both did fit right, and after two years have been fine.
Four years ago, I installed two denso O2 sensors - one was on the way out so I replaced both on the same bank - and one is already going bad. Two other 02 sensors are original Toyota 17 (yes, SEVENTEEN YEARS)/230,000+ miles old. No more denso for me.

don't blame Denso, blame yourself who buy it from unknown retailer. Denso sparkplugs and O2 sensors are often made in Indonesia or Thailand. Does not have to be made Japan. Often made in Japan label is a red flag for fake product.

@@nofyfb123 if you google counterfeit parts in Dubai, then you will find a lot of information. Amayama Japan is a good place and historically reliable source of OEM japanese car parts. Dubai sellers are hit and miss but Amayama, Rockauto, A1Auto, Advanced Autoparts/Carquest, Autozone, etc. are better. We can use Online coupon as high as 50% off from Advanced Autoparts and pick up locally. You get things instaneously. I never have any genuine Denso O2 sensors failure within 15 years/200k miles. The sparkplugs iridium last 120k miles or more. But there are tons of fake Denso iridium in eBay from China and labeled made in Japan. Most of Denso sparkplugs for newer Toyota are made in Indonesia, not Japan. I always buy Denso or NGK sparkplugs from Advanced autoparts with often 20-50% discount and pickup locally. Sometimes the items are in Carquest store too.

Theres another video out there showing a close up of the center electrode, and you can clearly see it wasn't laser welded. It had what looked like epoxy holding the tip in place. We really need a dedicated Task Force to go after the US distributors that are selling these fake products. The Chinese dont care, and know thay are untouchable. But in the meantime we all need to spread the word and post reviews and comments when and wherever we see this counterfeit crap. Multiple bad ebay reviews to a counterfeit seller is a start.
