Ok guys, so my Indian Challenger is back! And I learned quite a bit. Apparently a lot of cruiser or bagger style of motorcycles tend to have a battery draining issue. Doesn't matter if it's a harley or indian or whatever. If it has a key fob, the same issues can come up. Which now makes me wonder why sport bikes don't typically have key fobs? interesting. In fact, the S1000rr Had a key, but the S1000r single r, had the option for a key fob. I'm not sure why that is. Regardless here we are. My Indian Challenger battery was draining after only a few days of sitting in the garage. From what we've figured out, this was caused because I was keeping the key fob stored in the bike while it was just sitting. Basically the key fob and the bike had a constant conversation going which lead to the battery being drained. Makes sense. Moving forward, I'll be keeping the key fob stored in the house along with the rest of my keys. We also did the Cat delete on this challenger to help wake up the ear buds a bit. She sounds so much better! I don't have any performance numbers yet after doing this exhaust mod, but we will soon when we dyno tune the Indian Challenger at Proven Power Cycles! That video is going to be insane and I can't wait to film it. I'm excited to have this bike back and can't wait to put some real miles on and get back to moto vlogging like I used to. As you can see and probably hear, My moto vlog set-up is a little different that it used to be. The best equipment to use for moto vlogging can and does change. For me, I'm fortunate because I have an office full of top of the line mics and recorders to help achieve this. I may put something together that will help others but won't cost as much as my set-up. Anyways, thanks for watching and we'll be back on here shortly for Indian Challenger Exhaust Sound Clips!!

Get the Hardstreet Ryt-there shelf set for your hard bags. I had them on a Chieftain, and my Road King bags, drop my phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses on the shelf, rest of the bag easy access for other gear, clothes, etc.

Man I had hell getting my bike tuned after the decat. Finally took it to a Lloyds remote tuning center. That worked. Don't waste time on a power commander. The PC6 won't work below 2500 rpm.

Great vid. Also have 23 Challenger DH from iMotorsports St Pete. Enjoy hearing about your experience with the bike.I've had mine about 4 months and really enjoying it having come off a 2013 Yamaha Roadstar - big difference. Keep up the reviews and tips and showing your experience with the bike. Thx.

We have very similar paths. I went from an Aprilia, to a BMW S1000RR to a Kawi ZX10R (Kept it though), then also bought an Indian Scout 101. I am now debating between upgrading my Scout 101 to either an Indian Challenger or the Indian Chieftain. I see you also ran into the the Indian bad battery issue too. What is odd is I bought a brand new 2025 Indian Scout 101 and also had battery issues within 1 week and bike was dead. When I brought it into to do the 500 mile maintenance they said yes a bad battery and replaced it. Seriously on a brand new motorcycle? I replaced it with an AntiGravity Restart Lithium battery.

I remember when my bike wouldn’t start after sitting for awhile, it was as simple as getting a new battery for the Key Fob… lol. I changed out that battery and it started right up.

If you are going put your FOB in the bag, make sure you take the Key out and have it on you because in a loaded bag, the lock button can get pushed and lock the fob in the bike....HAPPENED TO ME! It is a great idea to keep the FOB in there...but REMEMBER the key!

I actually was having the same issues. I got a bigger battery tender/maintainer. All of my problems went completely away. I’ve had my bike for three years now. Battery tender.4 Amp

I have a Lanpard Faraday Bag for Key Fob that I leave in the bike with the keys in it. Set your security code on the display and you can start it up without the key.

I've got bad news for you.
I've never kept the fob near my Challenger when it is my garage and the battery will go dead in 3-4 days.
If you're not riding your Challenger, plug it in.
