I had one of my super talented friends do all the signs and place seating cards for me. People are most often really happy to do it, and if you make a night out of it its a great bonding experience! ❤
I also did my invites myself (at office works and I cut them myself etc 😅😅), and I agree with Rachel! Its just as cheap to use a place like vistaprint, and its so much easier!

Love these ideas. Your wedding theme and approach sounds so similar to my own. We went to so many different op shops looking for crystal vases in all shapes and sizes to put on the tables at our reception. We put flowers in them though because the idea of candles in an old hall scared my Mum. The vases looked so nice. We also used vistaprint for those little stickers and found this cute box from kmart for our 'wishing well' which we personalised and my SIL did the all of the other stationery for us.

I’ve been enjoying your wedding prep videos soo much and it’s making me excited to get married even though I’m 17😂 I’ve seen a tik tok trend going around recently where people explain their rules they want or are having at their wedding, I thought it would be such an interesting video idea and I would love to hear yours if you have any! :) love these videos and am so exciting for the wedding.

I would just like to say, regarding getting friends and family to help you with stuff as their present to you. Please just be careful and don’t undervalue them.
I’m a cake decorator and all my friends that have gotten married have asked me to do a cake as my present to them. - but what they don’t realize is yes- I’m saving them money, but if you want 100 guests that’s like a $700+ cake and in ingredients alone I will spend hundreds.
My point is - don’t assume your friends can afford to give such expensive “presents” (depending of course what it is) not everyone can afford that kind of stuff and it makes it uncomfortable from the friends side (having to explain that yeah I can help but I can’t cover all the cost)

That’s all, just wanted to share my opinion to anyone reading in the comments that might be getting married and is seeking help from friends :)
I used vista print after you recommended it, and bought my boyfriend a mug for Christmas. I customised the inside to make it his favourite colour which he really appreciated, and a bunch of photos of us. It was completely personalised and it was something practical he is going to use. Also got a Black Friday deal I think? Some sort of deal that made it substantially cheaper then usual.
So exciting!!! Which paper did you choose for your invites from vistaprint (just normal)?
Also do any aussies have any tips on whether cutting off tiny stems of eucalyptus would work to tie onto menus/ table bonbonerie? I always see it on pinterest but I’m curious to know if anyone’s seen it in real life and if it is actually effective?

Another little thing I would suggest, if your cant do nice caligraphy at all (like me) you could purchase a set of stamps that look like a typewriter (for example) and ink, and stamp the name on the Seating cards, still saves a lot of money. Stamp sets are usually 10 Quid or less

I don’t know if you’ll see this before your wedding, however the name place cards/seating cards, you could add a little thank you for coming on the inside as just a little something extra
Or they could also be little thank you cards for gifts that you’ll receive which would save paper in the long run

I honestly just use fine liners! 💛
Felt tip calligraphy pens and yr 1-2 books (with the four lines for upper and lower case letters) and a CZcams tutorial. I'm pretty sure I bought a Crayola kit from office works that was a great get started kit. Its also a great way to practice (I have cartridge fountain pens and dip nibs - practice is a must)

Personally I find this video a bit sad as you're turning people away from supporting small businesses who make similar items... Fair enough that you're making stuff yourself but I almost feel like you're saying these businesses are over charging and their products aren't worthy. I am 20 and have my own very small personalisation business and every sale pays my bills/groceries etc, not a big company just raking in money. Not trying to be hateful as I know you are just sharing your tips etc though at a time where small businesses are struggling I think it'd be better to word things differently and not defer people from ordering from such companies.
I don't think she's meaning to do this. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to support small businesses, she is just saving money and putting it out there for others who may need to be a little smarter with their wedding budget. She said that these things are time-consuming and hard work so I don't think she was saying that these small businesses are a waste of money, just that she chose to save that money herself. People who can afford to support small businesses will definitely do so but this is just helping people who have the time to do certain things themselves and save some money

Definitely isn’t intentional! it’s just easier for her to do it herself , she enjoys it and it saves money so she can put the money towards a home
