- We're back to living on the sailboat full time. Really just getting back in the swing of it, still shaking out the cobwebs and getting in the swing of the live aboard life. Here's a taste of it.
Vlog #110

"On your port" ! Can't stop laughing.
We're finally getting to our sailing season here on Lake Ontario. Following you both caused us to get out own boat last season and we are learning so much. Keep inspiring new saltys... even fresh water saltys. :)
Telling Lola to look on her Port side, LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!
What, no conch to end the video? I think you should start a little Salty tradition and end each video with a toot on the old conch. Made me feel good. Good to see you two back!
Glad to see you back on the water!!
Yepper, me thinks you two are back to what brought me to your channel in the first place. Thanks!
Great to see you guys posting again!
Sweet vid!!!! Can't wait for the rest!!!!
W.S. Delivering the goods once again. It's nice to see you bounce back after all of that ugly. ;-)
Glad you’re back. It’s obvious you both are really enjoying this adventure. Thanks for bringing us along!
Great you're living your lifestyle yur way
Great you kids are back...
You both are a blast! Great video. Thanks.
I wish I’d thought of a mooring business. Where I am, the only expense is dropping the mooring and yearly inspection. Then, it’s all gravy from there. Unfortunately, every bay is full of them now.
Great having all three of you back. Safe Sailing
Love "day in the life" sailboat vids. Thanks for posting!
Glad your back ,
Nice new boat. Catalina’s are like standard issue out here in So Cal. Can’t swing a rudder without hitting one, and they’re excellent boats. Cheers.
With the mooring ball, I think Sailing Emerald steel did a vid on how to stop tangling from happening. It was only a few weeks ago..
I effin love you guys. Can't wait for more frequent vids.
Stoshels thank you! Coming up
Had a dude recognize my Wicked Salty shirt at the marina last week. I was doing a pump out for him, gave me a $9 tip on a $6 job. I think I have y'all to thank for that.
Living the sailing life. Love to followyour adventures. Sail on sailors!!!
Glad to see you guys back!!!! Excited to watch your up and coming adventures. Where are you planning on going? Maybe run into Tulsa endless summer?
Awwww....... I love the Annapolis experience. Warmer weather to boot and it looks like you guys are settling in. Great Job!
Patrons get a little bit of an early viewing this time, let us know if you're watching then. We'll respond to as many of you as we can!

Hell yeah! I've been following your journey from the way back when you were just shopping around for your first sailboat.
Good luck to you guys!
Just met you in the grocery store in Delaware, love this channel. Safe travels!!!
Lola is a duck attack dog ~ !! lol !
Great that you’re back. Enjoy life you two.
looking forward for more!
Lola is to funny with those ducks, love that dog!! Keep those videos coming.
Nice to see you hanging in nap’town where I grew up. Great waterfront, maritime culture and cruising grounds. Have fun!
Lola was keeping watch out there lol. Another awesome video guys. Keep it up!
very happy to see you 2 back
Breakfast looked Awesome! Great video, so glad Y'all are back. :)
Wes, you've come a long way! I still laugh remembering your first vid where you paddled out to your new sailboat on a floatie and got soaking wet! LOL Your earnest enthusiasm had me hooked from the beginning. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
It is so great to see you guys back. Ya’all are the ones who got me hooked on watching sailing videos. I follow you, Delos, The Wynns, Sailing Doodles, and Zatara, MJ Sailing, Impi, and a few others that I watch from time to time, I feel a kindred spirit with Salty because you were my first. Again, when you head South, give me a heads up when you get close to Ocean Isle Beach NC. It’s just me and the wife in a 5 bedroom house with a Mini Schnauzer and 3 cats. If you want to stay over, you can have a whole floor to yourself and access to laundry.
We are just a couple hundred yards past Lockwood Folly Inlet on the ICW at Bricklanding.
Stay Salty my friends!
Thank you! It's good to be back! getting excited to be back home with the boat and then south at the end of summer
Love the videos!!!!! 👍👍😎🎣
Stay Salty!!!
Guys, glad to see the statement that you're back. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos from you in the near future. Cheers
You guy's should do day or weekend charters for people wanting a taste of the cruising life, also some sailing on a bigger boat than what most people have. I would pay some cash to meet you kids and go sailing for a day. I once paid over a grand to not catch a tuna. Just a idea.
You mentioned that you need a nice meal?
Let LoLa snag one of those ducks??
Savory Mallard on the grill!!!
Looking good Kate and Wes, Whisper suits you.
Love the boat chemistry amongst you three
You are back! and it's good! :)
Ok, only have said this about a half dozen times in the past. There is a special sauce secret Wes adds into his movies. Uniquely brilliant. I wish the best for you two. Cheers from Ottawa.
thank you so much!
Great Vlog!
Things are looking up Yay
You guys and seria and Billy are great
I would love to see you using reusable shopping bags instead of plastic :) loving the videos :)
Cool tunes , nice montage ! Thanks for sharing 😎
Thanks for watching!
Note that the Naval Academy has a nice lunch in the mess hall. Used to eat there during the boat show.
Yahoo Wicked Salty!!! Love you guys welcome back!! Hope to catch up with you guys someday.
Captain Christine
Welcome back..
Annapolis is a great place. I spent two summers there on a 70 ft Hatteras it wasn't mine I was the captain. Right by the yacht club in town. Davis pub across the bridge was great. Too fun.
its a great area, havent been to Davis' yet but we like boatyard
Woooohoooo!!!
I knew Lola had some Labrador in her!! Fetch 'em up Lola!!
Love Annapolis!
Oh yeah!
Thanks I’m looking forward to your adventures. Bad time to head south ? Are you going to do some Northern cruising?
Wicked!!
Those hash browns looked amazing! :)
So what’s the plans for the Salty crew? Welcome back...👍
Great video--- good to see you settling in on the boat and enjoying Annapolis! What are your plans for the summer? Staying on the Bay or heading further north?
Great to see you two back on a boat, what’s the plan for the summer heading north? South? Back to the Bahamas ?
I may have missed it but what’s the near future plans? Refit, waiting till fall to go back to the Bahamas? Just curious. Fun video btw. Lola is so cute.
I have two Catalina 30's (one Marina'ed just north of Annapolis and one on the hard in Deltaville. The first thing I did (besides cleaning) was to add non-skid tape on those slippery slopes just outside the head. I could not get into my V-berth if I wore socks because I would slip and slide. Almost fell a couple of times because of the sole slope. Problem solved with non-skid tape. I also bought a powerful windlass from Quick on eBay (about $500). Money well spent. They tend to have "new" older models in stock and that makes the price reasonable. Also if you crab through oncoming waves at a little bit of an angle, you will find it provides a much smoother ride. Boat takes weather pretty well but you have to adapt to "corking". As i have owned MacGregors, I learned this early and have little fear of big water as a result (but still plenty of respect!).
Salty !!!
Need to get some netting up for Lola........
Very nice video, how old is Lola, sweet pup!
L-O-L-A Lola!
cool
Love you kids..
Nice Video! Is the engine still leaking or burning oil?
sorry guys but there are plenty of vlogs out there about living on a boat in a river!!!
Great breakfast, true, is this a cooking vid?
If I may suggest get out and sail decent oceans (if your ready safety wise). Then I will watch and potentially be a patreon
Not everyday are you make large ocean passages or even sail, living on a sailboat. That's why this is called day in the life on a sailboat vlog. Much like your day in the life not on a sailboat, you probably, eat, go to work? or be productive like clean your house, do laundry, walk the dog, get beer with friends? Not everyday is it some crazy big deal (if you're lucky) maybe you break down in the cnd canal and have water coming in through the prop shaft and lose your engine?) But still love the lifestyle even if it's not sailing in the high seas everyday, still always an adventure. Hope you enjoy none the less, peace
I love Annapolis.....would to buy a house there and retire.......
Hey guys, how long are you still in Annapolis? Let me buy you a beer!!
Are you guys heading south toward Florida and then onto the islands
What do yall do about refrigeration??
thought I was following you on tweeter already... following both now :) As a complete newbie to sailing, just wondering what you guys think of your dingy and outboard. is there benefit to staying with a smaller 4 stroke or is 2 stroke better? looking for opinions. Cheers from PEI Canada, Bryan
formerly 987946216430 2 stroke can get more hp in a lighter package. We’ve been loving our Johnson 2 stroke, but thirsty on gas
I hope you tried the "Pain Killer" @ Pussers?
When are you heading to the Bahamas?
Hoping to be there this next year!
Any clue what kind of boat that is at 1:25 ?
You forgot to invite me!
Annapolis is a fun town, but a little expensive. Much more affordable marina options south or north of Annapolis. I keep my boat at Holiday Hill Marina in the Rhode River. Marina is located in a fantastic hurricane hole. The mooring balls in Annapolis Harbor are anything but quiet and serene. Up above the bridge used to have a lot of free anchorage space up by the old hospital, your lucky if you found a spot to anchor. If your still in Annapolis, check out the Irish restaurant Galway Bay up by the circle. at the top of the hill.
GO TO CHICK AND RUTH"S FOR BREAKFAST!!!
Please pass the salt and tequila.
You need safety nets your your pup
Do you guys still sell T-shirts?
we might be printing a new t-shirt soon, keep a look out we'll post it everywhere when we do
That's great. Will watch for it. I was wearing mine at the Marathon Marina and talked to a couple there with a C30 and they recognized the shirt. That led to some great conversation and a tour of their boat. Thanks for the shirt.
Kate, You are a natural beautiful woman. You need no makeup whatsoever. And, you can cook....:)
When you gonna sail? ,,,,,,,,,/),,,,,,,,,fair winds.
On one hand appreciative you removed my offer from the comments but my boat is on the hard until beg. of June.
why to use one time use plastic bags when you know you go shopping. you know that you need bags. you could take old ones.
Can i buy your little dog a life jacket?
Not allowed? It said "womans" not "men prohibited"
