My favorite King Kong movie. Jeff Bridges, Jessica Lange, Charles Grodin, John Randolph and Rene Auberjonois were brilliant. I love KK (2005) but that movie looked too unrealistic plus Jack Black was so irritating
That's a good cross between King Kong (1976) and The Running Man (1987). IMFDB (Internet Movie Firearms Database) mentioned it somewhere. And back when I first saw this video. I knew (basically) nothing about Arnold Schwarzenegger. But, I did some searching, so now I've practically got his knowledge. I've gotta find an opportunity to watch The Running Man at some point. I've seen King Kong '76 at least, so, that's something. Right?
And, also. Wouldn't it be cool if the helicopter slamming into the tower was the real cause of the Twin Towers' collapse? So, instead of two hijacked planes flying into the towers in '01, a helicopter slams into the tower during a giant ape fight in '76.
The stupid thing about the Heli crashing into the side of the tower is that the helis only needed to hover and shoot him.They didnt need to be moving at all its stupid.
This re-make is unique in that they attempt to write a different plot around the same theme. It's almost it's own movie. The 2005 re-make is very similar to the 1933 and more of a re-make.

That was funny. I was just sittin here watchin this than all of a sudden I see Arnold and I said-"WTF! is he doin in this movie?? lol He looked pretty good in this movie. Thumbs up for u Alex. : )
i REALLY liked the new king kong because in the others kong seemd to have a perverted mind, and in the 2005 one, his love for anne is pure, not to sound cheesey :S
the 2005 and 1933 kong film is way better than the '76 it is understandable that the people of the '20s era are not so humane, when biplanes comes with guns blazing at kong I hate the part when huey choppers rips kong with vulcans Tony Stark roasting his captors is orgasmic, this scene is heartbreaking

the only problem is...that wilson is gone...his dead??? beacuse unfortunately after many years I watched king kong this) And I so liked it.. but I didnt remember that wilson is gonna be dead... Its not okay... He shoulded say in the end It was beauty killed the bist or something... maybe he should go to prison for some reasons (okay the first opinion was part of the original kong.) but thats the only problem..It was brutal anyway...

Dino De Laurentiis was a Producer of King Kong 1976 even he hired Arnold Schwarzenegger in Conan the Barbarian Conan the destroyer and Red Sonja!
Now I can't stop imagining Arnold as that colonel villain in the sequel King Kong Lives.

Clearly some people here are unaware, 1987's The Running Man used UH helicopter and m134 mini gun footage from 1976 King Kong.
King kong 1976 was 30 years old when this video was made back in 2006. A year after the Peter Jackson remake.
