    This is awesome. It looks like you had a great time. 170-ft is quite deep. I can see why you had two dive computers. Lots of wasted shells on the deck with a ton of unspent munitions in the hold. Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!

    Absolutely awsome dive. I love to scuba dive but over 180 feet ? Your a bigger man than me I would be terrified. I can honestly say that was the best CZcams video I have watched in long time I really enjoyed it.

    That's amazing that you can dive that deep. Love seeing all the fish. The water is so clear. What a trip that there is so much live ammo there. Thank you for sharing :-)

    I'd be nervous about picking up those 3" shells, one or two might not be spent, those looks a bunch of like 30 CAL Ammo cans and rounds, again, I'd use caution, looks like she went down fighting. A beautiful dive, thanks for sharing

      The ship also has torpedoes and depth charges... it adds an element of excitment.

    Be careful about picking those up man. I have seen some weird things in my time and some old explosives can still go off under water.

    Oh ya i forgot about that dive i think it was the time i had gone to your Channel. The deepest i have gone was 110 or 115 that was in Florida it was just a big hole and i think was Natural Springs. Then my dive buddy shut the flash light off and told me do the same. So I did boy was it dark when we put the lights back on i was totally lost I didn't know if I was up or down now I see why some divers get disoriented underwater that was the only time I've been in a deep water like that when we came back up we decompressed and floated down and I have never seen such giant catfish in my life that were down in that Springs. But i did have a great time diving in Florida and i have no idea were in Idaho all know is some friends of mine back in the days before i went the US NAVY that there's town down Cascade Lakes I've never seen it but they said it was there she might want to check it out it's up to you might be a good video

      Hi Gary, I always dive within my personal comfort range as all diver's should. I have heard about the location in FL. you are speaking of, it sounds pretty cool!

  • @Neptune730

    Awesome dive. I'm not familiar with deep air diving. I didn't realize that your PO2 would stay close to 1.3 on
    O/C almost the whole depth range you went to. How was the narcosis? I start to feel it about 100' That is a nice puter. Way more than what I need though. Stay safe

      Hi NC, I will dive as deep as 220ft on air if conditions are good, by my normal limit is 200ft. The 1.3 PO limit is a fairly recent limitation imposed by the certification agency's when they began offering Tech courses. Prior to this the norm was 1.4, the US Navy has a soft limit of 1.6, and even greater if a chamber is on hand. If you study on this you will see the recreational limits are quite conservative, NOT a bad thing. On this dive I was completely clear headed until I was swimming over the side of the ship at about 7:10 in the video, then wow, lol. I was completely aware of my condition and was doing concentration exercises to reign it in. By about 11:00 I was pretty much back to normal. At this location Trimix is prohibitively expensive unless you are diving rebreathers. Even nitrox mixes are expensive.

    alot of live amo down there! Is this a restricted dive site? Do you have an oxygen blend to be able to dive to 200ft?

    • @mokpot
      @mokpot  Před 5 lety +3

      A Tri-mix blend can be helpful, but in these Islands the cost is quite high for such blends. I did all of my deeper dives on air 21% O2, and my shallower dives on various NITROX blends (higher O2 percentages). I also used high O2 blends for decompression during the deeper dives. Thanks for watching.
