If you think about it, the Demon King being dead despite the Hero’s sword still being in its place would mean “the calamity that will end the world” is yet to come.😰
Yeah, even though the demon king has been vanquished there's bound to be another big bad that the true hero must defeat. Or perhaps the Demon King was just imprisoned and not killed. Demons still seem awfully active, including the 7 sages of destruction which are now actually finally being killed. Maybe the entire story of the heroe's party was a big lie, that ushered in an era of peace but didn't completely solve the problem. Seems awfully odd that "Heaven" happens to be where the Demon King's castle was and Frieren is just coincidentally stumbling upon all these places where she has a duty to complete.

Interesting theory, but I think that breaks the lesson of the episode. Being able to defeat the demon king despite being a "fake hero".
