Ahhh. This is legit what I need. I have generalised anxiety disorder, and want to solo travel, the only thing stopping me is my confidence in my self. These videos are great thank you. 💕👍🏼
❤️❤️❤️ will deffo be covering anxiety too in a future video! Xxx
Yess, I'm the same and I think it'd help me a lot to see a video on anxiety since you never fail to inspire me! 💖
Much the same here. There is so much I want to see and do but so little confidence to do it.
Most of the reason I'm going solo travelling is to boost my confidence, I'm so nervous but also so excited for the person it'll turn me into!
Such a great motive to have 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I ended up solo travelling for 18months at 19. I say solo but there wasnt even one day i was on my own, meet so many people! best thing ive ever done, and now got the travel bug of itchy feet. everyone is so social in hostels. Dont worry and just enjoy it!!!!!
Important video!
I think we're all been thinking "what have I done???" right after hitting that buy ticket button and you start thinking about all kind of scenarios.
But once you're at the airport you go into action mode and your mindset will change.
Afterwards I have never regret going on a trip and all that worry was not justified.
Hahaha the ‘post purchase panic’ is a familiar case 🙈
Thank youuuu for this comment.
Loved this! Always about what perspective you choose - can either choose to be positive about a situation or let your anxiety rule you!
Yuuuup. It took me a while to realise I was actually in control of how I handled situations. Funny how our brains work 😋
You know what thank you so much 😊 it helped me a lot
I love your content!!!
Love your videos have just found your channel recently and have watched so many of your videos. Am off on my first solo travel trip this year and your videos are really helping :) ! x
Wooooop! I'm so pleased, you must be so excited! :D xxx
Perfect timing, just that little extra bit I needed before I set off in April :) great video Christianne Thanks!!
Yay!
Been on one solo trip but will be doing a long haul solo trip in the next couple of months- this is great!
😃🙌🏼❤️
Thank you for this!!!
My pleasure xxx
This just massively reassured me! I’m planning my trip to Washington DC on my own in August! Would be so good if you could to a live Q&A! Thanks for your continued support! X
So true! Ur amazing and inspire me to travel solo! Xo!
Literally going on a four month solo trip in southeast asia in FOUR days! Dying

I just got here for four months last week! it's so much easier than u think don't worry! maybe I'll see you along the way!
I wonder how this went.
I am recovered in the hospital right now and your videos are the only thing that make me feel better! You are great! 😁😁
I hope you feel better soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow you have such a varied and eclectic background! I'd say your experience has really made you a very confident person. (or at least enough to fake it :)) Also, your shoulders are quite red, that Perth sun is working on you! Another great vlog...
Thanks for sharing
Hi! I've recently loved watching your videos and you definitley pulled me over the line of my doubts to go or not go solo backpacking (... pulled me to go! :) ) This is gonna be my first time and I'd love some tips dedicated to first time solo backpackers or even first time backpacking in general. So, first time flying alone, first time landing alone, not knowing where to go, first time walking into a dormroom etc etc. Love your videos! xoxo Dutchie
Yay! That makes me so happy ☺️❤️ deffo more solo backpacking vids coming!
Thanks 😊
My confidence really started building when I moved on campus for university, then started working in retail and had to talk to people. Then my first solo trip, I went on a contiki tour and again had to talk to others and made some amazing friends to this day :D My confidence has just kept growing with every job, trip and social opportunity I'm given!
And that's how it's done :D Amazing! xx
Hi! Thankyu for this, can you recomedn any more videos on a similar topic like being able to go out by yorself even if its like in your own city?
So excited for this series!
Could you cover safety, as in going swimming or hiking by yourself?
Safety tips ✅✅✅ I think I currently have that as 4th in the series ☺️
Backpacking Bananas definitely looking forward to it :)
Came back from my first proper solo trip last week. I kept it short and stayed in a hotel till I got more confident. My biggest challenge is the flights, i was a very nervous flyer but thanks to youtubers like yourself I'm slowly getting over it. Thank you xx
Congrats on your first solo trip! ❤️❤️❤️
Flights are the only thing putting me off solo traveling. I'm a very confident person in the sense i can speak to anyone, organise everything, take care of myself, and I do solo things already but getting on a plane by myself is the thing I don't kmow how I'd be 😩 any advice how how you overcame it?
@@dbdrage7725 honestly it took a while to get as confident on planes as I am now, even still some things still make me nervous (turbulence and take off)
I found little ways to calm the nerves. Like grounding exercises, breathing and finding what works for me to distract myself during the flight.
Look at cabin crew, if they are up serving from the carts, all is well.
Learn a bit about planes, how they operate and normal procedures.
Find what works for you. Select a seat that you are comfortable with. I like the window so I can see what's happening (like seeing clouds and mountains so I know to expect some turbulence) and it's a distraction. I can't sit near the emergency exit row.
Hope it helps a little and best of luck on your adventures ❤️❤️
Making friends and loneliness please :) Love this series idea!
Making friends is 2nd in series ☺️☺️
Awesome! Can't wait :D
I am going away this summer for atleast a year and I am a little bit nervous about being away from my family and friends for so long and would love to hear your thoughts about lonliness. I am not uncomfortable being lonly just nervous about feeling lonly.
Thank you for this video. Really wish I'd had listened to it last week before I had a job interview for a promotion in the NHS. I'm in that "we'll get back to you" phase right now. Argh!!
ahh good luck!! I hope it goes well for you xx
so beautiful
OHHH could you cover anxiety please? I've never solo traveled but I went on a flight by myself once and my anxiety was THROUGH THE ROOF. Hopefully the next time won't be as bad. I love your channel so much!!!!!
Yas! Anxiety will have spot in the series :)
I'm going solo traveling for the first time in my LIFE to Spain for a month now that I'm done university. I want to meet people and play it by ear, but I also want to plan some things that I definitely want to do. I've watched a lot of your videos and I know you say to book your first hostel then let it all play out from there. But my concern is that I get too comfortable where I am by going with the flow that I end up planning too last minute the places I want to go. How did you plan your first solo travel?
If you know that there are things that you definitely want to get accomplished in your month trip, then get those all pre-booked. Set yourself a rough itinerary. And then you can still be flexible in between your set events so you have flexibility but still getting to do those things at the top of your bucket list ☺️
cool
Is anyone else wondering what song this is???
I'm terrified of going alone, because I haven't really travelled before and the airport in my country is so tiny it's impossible to get lost or confused. I'm terrified that I'll just get lost in a big airport or train station. We have like 3 stations here. 🙈🙈
Airports are the easiest to navigate. It’s when you step outside of them, things get daunting (but nothing that Google Maps can’t help with) 🙈😋
Anxieties about not speaking the language!
hahahaha "pretend like you bloody do"
love your videos but I found the background music on this video really loud so I was struggling to hear what you was saying x
Ah that’s good to know, thanks x
okay so im an 18 yr old female and I’m wanting to do a trip all over Europe/Iceland or SE Asia, but I can’t find anyone with the money to come with me! im hesitant on booking stuff right now because I’m so afraid of going solo. I feel like I look very young (like 14 lmao) and im noooot looking to run into creepy men. one of my biggest concerns is getting from the airport to my hotel in an Uber or taxi, other wise I’m fine with everything else. how is that??
It’s very easy to get a taxi from the airport ☺️ no matter where you are, airports should always have an official taxi rank. Just make sure that they charge you by the metre. And if not that, agree on a price first.
Hey! I graduate next year from high school and I’m thinking of taking a year gap when I leave. I’m really want to go to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji & a few countries in southeast Asia. I want to try and do all that in roughly 5 months. Do you think that’s too much for an 18 year old?
Absolutely not. Your plan sounds amazing 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 When I was 19 I was away for 6.5 months travelling 4 countries in South East Asia, NZ, Fiji and 6 states in the USA. It was epic.
rihanna fan dude that’s literally what I wanna do and I’m 18 too
I'm not too sure if this falls under solo traveling but when ever I do I make amazing friends and get so close with them and having to say goodbye is soo difficult. The idea that I might never see them again makes me upset. Maybe you could share your experiences?
Ooh that's an interesting one! I do have a very personal experience with this so definitely a good one to talk about :) Will add to the list!
I wish i could travel solo..
You should change that to 'I'm gonna rise to the challenge to travel solo'
One day... Oh perhaps..
Who else had the Lynx advert before this video ?
so basically you're pretending you know what you're talking about here
precisely.
