How did you get on with battening around the door and sides, as they are slightly elevated compared to the rest of the van, by a few mil. Therefore the ply will be resting on a slightly uneven surface? From watching it seems you ignored this....and `I'm getting all paranoid overthinking it.

Hi bud, yes we pretty much ignored it as you rightly say, it's only a few mill. We knew at this stage we were anticipating having checker plate angle as a back and side step so this would be hidden and never seen, as such. The video showing this will be going up tomorrow! Watch this space!

Just starting my own conversation, just wondered what size batten you used? Thanks in advance

      Hi Clinton,
We used 2x1.. technically a bit smaller than 2x1 in mm... Link in the description brother.
      Cheers

Do you just glue the battens down or do you screw them to the body aswell, if so what screws do you use. Thanks

      Hi Buddy,
We glued with sticks like sh*t mastic & used self tapping screws.
Just be sure to grab a few boxes of different lengths as some parts of the inner/outer skins of the van are tighter/wider than others.
      Good luck!
